Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Fan-Made Pokemon Set...Post Anything

New Member
I remember back then when there was The Mother Of All Fake Cards Threads:

Jase755's "Tons Of Fakes!" thread, with crazy things such as Gastoise (a Blastoise driven insane by high gasoline prices), Teevee (an Eevee addicted to TV), Venomop (a Venomoth relegated to aisle clean-up duty), Light/Dark/Shining Victreebel (aaaaahhhh...), and Lemurky (the Lemur Pokemon) among others....

Yes, those were the times when Creating Cards was at its peak. I wish to capture the essence of that thread by making this one.

Now what is the subject of this set?

Well, here you can post any "original" Pokemon you made up, together with stats and picture descriptions.
Yep, any Pokemon.

With a few exceptions:

1- Do not make a new Evolution for a Pokemon that already has 3 stages.
Example: Do not make a Thorchu that evolves from Raichu.

You can, however, make a Thorchu as an alternate evolution for Pikachu.

Also, no Chibichu/Tinychu, Pichu does not need a pre-evo.

2-No "mixed" Pokemon. Do not make Pokemon which are blatant blends of other Pokemon.
No Venustoise.
Example: Do not make an Eclipseon that evolves from "fusing" Umbreon and Espeon.

However, as Slowbro/Slowking show, you can make Pokemon which are "combos" with other Pokemon, in this case Shellder and Slowpoke.

3-No nonsensical evolutions. Even Exeggcute-->Exeggutor makes sense when you realize that Exeggcute is described as a bunch of plant seeds. Please, do not make a Pokemon whose evolution goes:
Goose--->Cockroach--->Half-Anteater, Half-Planarian.

4-For the time being, NO new types. No Plasma, Anti-Matter, Glass, Nuclear, Magic, Holy, Acid, Air, nor Wind Pokemon, O.K.?

Okay then, enough babble, let's get this show on the road!
And be sure to have fun!

If he can do Gastoise, I can do...

Lunchmeatbird (A delibird that has DELI meat!)
70 HP {C}
Basic Pokémon

Poké-Power: Cold Cuts, Anyone?
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may flip up to 6 coins. For each heads, remove a damage counter from 1 of your Pokémon (excluding Pokémon-ex). For each tails, remove a damage counter from 1 of your opponent's Pokémon.

{C} High-Cholesteral
Put a Salami counter on 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. For each Salami counter on a Pokémon, that Pokémon gets -10 HP. Put a Meat counter on Lunchmeatbird.

{C}{C}{C} Deliwhack 30+
Does 30 damage plus 10 more damage for each Meat counter on Lunchmeatbird.

Weakness: {L}
Resistance: {F}
Retreat Cost: {C}{C} (The meat weighs him down.)

:p

fear the wrath of an over talked about need to make it card.

Vineon
70 HP
Stage 1 [G] Pokemon-Evolves from Eevee

[G] Vine Whip 20

[G][G][G][G] Massive Vinage Overgrowth 120
Discard 3 [G] Energy attached to Vineon or this attack does nothing.

Weak: [R]
Resist: [W]
Retreat: [C][C]

This Pokémon was derived from Porygon. It was a nifty robot that got stuck in my fanfic: Cry of the Frozen Lands. It literally cannot be evolved into MegaVelocibot except by usage of the Lodestone.

Velocibot
Type: (M)
80 HP
Basic Pokémon
Weakness: (F)
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: (C)(C)

Poké-Body: Lodestone
At the beginning of your turn, put a Lode counter on Velocibot.

(M)(C) - Magnetic Charge - 10
You may put up to 2 Energy cards from your discard pile into your hand. If you do, put 1 damage counter on Velocibot.

(D)(C)(C) - Shadow Pester
Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 30 damage plus 10 more damage for each (D) Energy attached to Velocibot to that Pokémon. Apply Weakness and Resistance.

~-o-~

MegaVelocibot
Type: (M)/(D)
110 HP
Stage 2 Pokémon - Evolves from Velocibot
Weakness: (F)
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: (C)(C)(C)

Poké-Body: Lodestode Evolution
When you play MegaVelocibot from your hand or from your deck, count the number of Lode counters on the Pokémon you attach MegaVelocibot to. If the Pokémon you attached MegaVelocibot to has 4 or less Lode counters on it, shuffle MegaVelocibot and all attached cards into your deck. If the Pokémon you attached MegaVelocibot to has 5 or more Lode counters on it, remove all Lode counters from MegaVelocibot.

(C)(C)(C) - Grasping Strike - 40-
You may discard up to 3 basic Energy cards attached to the Defending Pokémon. If you do, this attack does 40 damage minus 10 damage for each Energy cards discarded in this way.

(D)(D)(C) - Shadow Sphere - 60
If the Defending Pokémon has any damage counters on in, flip a coin. If heads, then, during your opponent's turn, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to MegaVelocibot.

Lavaclaus
Type: (R)
130 HP
Stage 2 Pokémon - Evolves from Quilava
Weakness: (W)
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: (C)(C)

Poké-Body: Focus Energy
If Lavaclaus is your Active Pokémon, at the end of your opponen't turn, put a Focus counter on Lavaclaus.

(R)(C) - Critical Claw - 30x
Discard all Focus counters attached to Lavaclaus. This attack does 30 damage times the number of Foocus counters discarded in this way.

(X)(C)(C) Spectral Burn - 30
Put a Plasma counter on the Defending Pokémon. If a Plasma counter is on the Defending Pokémon, put 1 damage counter on the Defending Pokémon between turns for each of the Defending Pokémon's types. Treat the status of having a Plasma counter on the Defending Pokémon as a Special Condition. If the Defending Pokémon is a (X) Pokémon, this attack's base damage is doubled.
~-o-~

Swirlitung (Rainbow Lickitung)
80 HP (X)
Basic Pokémon
Weakness:
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: ©©

Picture: You are inside a candy store located on a busy city street. As you look outside through a glass display window out front, you can see a Lickitung staring in. It is standing on a sidewalk, near a blue bicycle that has been knocked over 2 feet behind it. Its arms and legs are spread as if it were doing jumping jacks. Its hands and tongue are firmly pressed against the glass. A trail of saliva is left halfway between its tongue and the ground outside. The Lickitung is refracting blue, yellow, and magenta light due to its oily nature (look in a puddle of oil one day: note those are the only colors you would see).

Poké-Body: Acidic Saliva
If the effects of an attack done to the Defending Pokémon by Swirlitung cause the Defending Pokémon to be affected by a Special Condition, flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned.

(C)(C) Supersonic
This attack does 10 damage to each Defending Pokémon. Then, flip a coin. If heads, each Defending Pokémon is now Confused. If tails, switch each Defending Pokémon with one of your opponent's Benched Pokémon, if any (switch 1 if there is only 1). During your next turn, Spectral Stomp's base damage is 70 instead of 30.

(X)(C)(C) Spectral Stomp - 30+
If, during your opponent's last turn, the Defending Pokémon used an attack with "Minimize" in its name, this attack does 30 damage plus 50 damage. If the Defending Pokemon is a [X] Pokemon, this attack's base damage is doubled.

~-o-~

In case you don't know, (X) it B.T.'s "Rainbow" energy requirement. For more info, please visit http://www.pokegym.net/showthread.php?t=9173 .

Excellent! These cards are a great mix of completely new Pokemon and alternate versions of our favorites.

Penguinmaster, how about doing a Pokedex entry for Lunchmeatbird? :)

Burninating, please tell us what it looks like and how it evolves. :)

Lorak, same thing as above. :)

I also want see new game mechanic, abilities, and attacks. The way you used counters is very creative, oh master of flightless Antarctic birds...

I'll post some cards later...

X_X...wow, Lorak, I am touched. XD. And Vineon....evolves from eevee with leaf stone. Now, let me do a little copy pasting, and...

WABAM!

Alakazam SP
200 HP
Stage 2 [P] Pokemon-Evolves from Kadabra

You can't have more then one Alakazam SP in your deck.
When Pokemon-SP has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards.

[P] Confuse Ray 30
The defending Pokemon is now confused.

[P][C][C] Future Sight 60
Look at the top 5 cards of your deck and put them back in any order.

[P][P][C][C] Super Psystorm 20x
Does 20 damage times the total amount of Energy attached to all Pokemon in play.

Weakness: [P][G][D]
Resistance: None
Retreat Cost: [C][C][C]

Picture: In the background, shown blurred in each of the upper corners, are Alakazam. There is a jump rope in between them, each one holding an end. The person or Pokemon jumping rope is not visible, as the middle of the jump rope is covered by a 3-D Alakazam's head. Coming straight down the center from the head is part of the Alakazam's body, which ends a little ways before where it's hanging hands would be. The very tops of it's spoons are visible. It's entire body is 3-D. The Alakazam in the background are standing on fresh green grass, but as the grass progresses to the lower part of the picture(where the 3-D Alakazam is standing), it gets browner and browner. The 3-D Alakazam has a grim expression on it's face.

Raispit (Raichu got tired of chewing... •_•)
80 HP {L}
Stage 1 Pokémon (Evolves from Pikachu)

Poké-Power: This Chow is Nasty
Once during your turn (before you attack), you may discard any number of Energy cards attached to Raispit. Remove 2 damage counters from Raispit for each Energy card discarded in this way.

{L} Shock Saliva 20+
Does 20 damage plus 20 more damage for each {W} Energy card attached to Raispit. Raispit can't use this attack during your next turn.

{C}{C}{C} Mystical Master of Foreign Delicacy 40+
Your opponent writes Enchilada, Taco, or Lasagna on a piece of paper and puts it face down on his or her active Pokémon. Without looking, guess which word is written. If you guessed correctly, this attack does 40 damage plus 30 more damage. If you guessed wrong, Raispit can't attack during your next turn.

Weakness: {F}
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: {C}

There's some new game mechanics for ya. ;)

OH, and a PokéDex entry for Lunchmeatbird? OK

~~~~~~~
Lunchmeatbird was supposedly once a regular Delibird. After his trainer gave him a ham sandwhich, he became addicted to lunch meats. He now wanders civilazation in search of the perfect sandwhich!
I have a good made-up Pokémon! It's another alternate evolution for Gloom. Here it is:
GLOOMYSTIC (click here for a sprite of it)
To obtain Gloomystic, evolve Gloom into Vileplume (not Bellossom) while holding Spell Tag with an empty slot in your roster and at least 1 Pokéball in your inventory. After Gloom evolves, you'll discover you have a new Pokémon taking up your empty slot, Gloomystic. Here's Gloomystic's statistics:
GLOOMYSTIC
Mysterious Pokémon
Height: 4'11"
Weight: 2.0 lbs
Type: Grass/Ghost
POKéDEX Information
Ruby: A mysterious POKéMON that appears unsought in a POKéBALL, GLOOMYSTIC hovers through the air without moving any of its two sets of wings.
Sapphire: Unlike GLOOM, GLOOMYSTIC never opens its eyes because if it were to, it would suck the soul out of any living thing it is looking at.
HP: 200
Attack: 265
Defense: 100
Sp Atk: 265
Sp Def: 100
Speed: 200
Gender: Male 50%, Female 50%
Ability: Wonder Guard - Only harmed by "supereffective" damage.
Lv7: Sweet Scent
Lv14: Poisonpowder
Lv16: Stun Spore
Lv18: Sleep Powder
Lv40: Imprison
Lv44: Petal Dance
Lv48: Shadow Ball
Lv52: Faint Attack
Lv56: Dream Eater
Lv60: Grudge
06: Rock Smash
Description: Gloomystic has the unusual combination of Grass and Ghost elements. After evolving from Gloom, Gloomystic goes on to learn such moves as Night Shade, Psybeam, and Shadow Ball. It can also take advantage of Sleep Powder more with Dream Eater and Nightmare. Its Attack and Special Attack stats are both high, but its HP, Defense, and Special Defense are very low. However, its ability is Wonder Guard, and is only vunerable to Fire, Ice, Flying, Ghost, and Dark-type attacks. If you want a good Gloomystic, here's some good movesets for it:
Standard Combo
Giga Drain
Faint Attack
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Sleeper Combo
Sleep Powder
Nightmare
Dream Eater
Giga Drain
Anyway, I've decided to make two cards for Gloomystic; one Grass-type and one Psychic-type (Ghost-type). Here they are:
Gloomystic
Pokémon card
{G}
50 HP
Stage 2 Pokémon
Evolves from Gloom
Put Gloomystic on the Stage 1 card
Weakness: {R}
Resistance: {F} -30
Retreat cost: {C}
PokéBODY: Wonder Guard Prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to Gloomystic by your opponent's Evolved Pokémon and Pokémon-ex.
{G} Absorb Remove a number of damage counters from Gloomystic equal to half the damage done to the Defending Pokémon (after applying Weakness and Resistance)(rounded up to the nearest 10). If Gloomystic has fewer damage counters than that, remove all of them. 20
{G}{C} Shift Curse Flip a coin. If heads, as long as Gloomystic is your Active Pokémon, place a damage counter on the Defending Pokémon at the end of your opponent’s next turn. 30
Gloomystic
Pokémon card
{P}
50 HP
Stage 2 Pokémon
Evolves from Gloom
Put Gloomystic on the Stage 1 card
Weakness: {D}
Resistance: {F} -30
Retreat cost: {C}
PokéBODY: Ghost Shield If an attack (including your own), would Knock Out Gloomystic, flip 2 coins. If 1 or both are heads, prevent all effects, including damage, done to Gloomystic by that attack.
{P} Nightmare The Defending Pokémon is now Asleep. 20
{P}{C} Dream Disruption If the Defending Pokémon is Asleep, this attack does 30 damage plus 20 more damage. 30+
Excellent! Keep them coming!
Gloomystic is very similar to what I was thinking of a Ghost/Grass combo...
However, I can't see the sprite....can you please decribe it?
I suspect that it looks like the top part of Gloom got detached and was revived...brrrrr...
EDIT: Oops, forgot to post cards...
Koffing
50 HP {G}
Basic Pokémon
Poké-BODY: Gas Body
When Koffing is your Active Pokemon, before your attack you may switch Koffing with one of your Benched Pokémon.
{G} Light Gas 10
Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned.
Weakness: {P}
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: {C}
Weezing
70 HP {G}
Stage 1 Pokémon (evolves from Koffing)
Poké-BODY: Liquid Body
Weezing's Retreat Cost is increased by {C}. Reduce all damage done to Weezing by 20 (after applying Weakness and Resistance).
{G} Heavy Gas 10
The Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned.
{G}{C}{C} Sludge Spit 40
Weakness: {P}
Resistance:
Retreat Cost:
{C}{C}
And heeeeere's:
S'ffcating
100 HP {G}
Stage 2 Pokémon (evolves from Weezing)
Poké-BODY: Sludge Body
S'ffcating's Retreat Cost is increased by {C}{C}. Reduce all damage done to S'ffcating by 30 (after applying Weakness and Resistance).
{G}{C} Sludge Flood 10+
Flip 2 coins. This attack does 10 damage plus 20 more damage for every heads.
{G}{G}{C} Suffocating Gas 50+
Flip a coin. If heads, discard the top card of your opponent's deck. If tails, discard the top card of your deck. If the card discarded this way was an Energy card, this attack does 50 damage plus 20 more damage. If the card discarded this way was a Supporter card, you may choose one of your opponent's Benched Pokémon, if any. Do 30 damage to that Pokémon (don't apply Weakness or Resistance).
Weakness: {P}
Resistance:
Retreat Cost:
{C}{C}
S'ffocating (suffocating) is basically a three-Koffing Pokémon (whereas Weezing was a two-Koffing Pokémon), who is even uglier, more miserable, misshapened, and solid, since all that liquid is now coagulating into a thick, putrid sludge!
A Cerberus is the evolved form of Houndoom with three heads: the middle one is a Houndoom-looking head, but its horn are longer, sharper, and more curved. The head on the left (as seen by the viewer) is that of a bulldog, and the head on the right is that of a German shepherd. Its tails is thicker and has sharp blades running down it.
