I trust you all have seen the japanese version of the cards or at least the spoilers so, now its time for debate...What goes well with this croc EX? Some cards i have in mind are maybe bench damaging pokemon/bench targetters, even maybe the Unown with the Hidden Power that can do 20 to all opponent's pokemon...hmmmm :thumb: .I know its little early for this but its good to at least get ready. So start the shooting! Discuss...

Im testing it out with parasect right now, its easy to have it out and powered up turn 3. to shut them down and be doing 70 plus turn 3 is really good! If only it stoped zapdos, zapdos kills it every time.....

Hi wolf52525,

I see that your way of playing Feraligator EX is to power it up quickly with Parasect and start hitting for 70+ damage on most, if not, all of your opponent's pokemon, interesting tactic. ^^Sadly, it is at a heavy disadvantage to Zapdos EX (slaughter that lightning bird!). I for one, was thinking of a Feraligator EX and maybe with EX Deoxys Camerupt to do 30 to 2 of myopponent's pokemon and if theres a need, retrieve energies back to power up Feraligator EX.

Well in unlimited or in modified I would run Gatr-EX with Toise-EX. Use Toise-EX to power gatr quickly and since the toise is an ex gatr's body doesn't affect it at all. So a either a possible turn 1 or 2 Gatr-EX.

Also the only threats would be zappy ex or muk ex decks, bar is no threat unless this deck gets a horrible start and other decks like monarchy and draggy will get slaughtered by the Gatr's body.

um maybe FR/LG Parasect You canget it ready to attach by turn 3/4 if you get lucky. But other than that not much since all Powers except those of EX are turned off. One idea is too include a few Warp Points Switch and one Pidgeot. Use Switch/Warp Point to bring out Pidgeot. Use Quick Search and Retreat.

Hi people,

Nice strategies you two got there. The thought of using Space Center to shut down the opponent further did not cross my mind, but now it has, kudos CrimsonWarrior26. Will try that out in the near future.

Cephiro

I kind of chaned my mind about Center since it won't work since Pokemon-ex are excluded and Legendary Accent is a Power not a Body. I guess nothing will ever be a goo tech against Zappy.

Hi CrimsonWarrior26,

Yes, i have seen that the Space Center does not work on the lightning bird, sigh. Maybe all one can do is a tech in lightning pokemon to counter it. Or even one of those safeguarding pokemon.

Hi TylerM,

Ok, we shall wait for your secret...(how secretive)...

Hi people,

IMO, there are two options when one plays Feraligator EX, one is to use it as a beatdown powerhouse with its attack and being able to shut down powers and bodies is indeed fascinating. The other option can be to use the Dark Ampharos as Professor Aspen has suggested to keep the powers on if the situation calls for it. Obviously, Feraligator EX decks should not have Pidgeot inside and should run large draw power instead.

Cephiro

hey, we could use the uber broken unown that does 20 to all your opponents pokemon. use it twice and your golden.

Too bad Gatr can't use Rock and stops Amphy and Pidgeot's powers...
ha, im fault, should realy think about teh card before jumping to conclusions... >_<;;

Cephiro just because Gatrex stops Pidgeot when it's active, doesn't mean you can't use Pidgeot. Gatrex pwns with Switch/Warp Point and with lots of drawing power.

Hi Professor Aspen,

I take back my stereotyped saying of Pidgeot, it obviously helps many people, but i for one try not to play it, yes i agree with you Feraligator EX with good positional board control and lots of draw power to get out the necessary cards is a good combo.

Hi Dom Jordan,

Yes i understand that its 150 Hp will change it now.

Hi wolf52525,

The hidden power unown of the new set is indeed intriguing, wonder whether there are any draw backs to that card. Hmmm....

Cephiro

there has to be some kind of a draw back. that power on a basic with 60 hp and only colorless energy needs? I think not. I guess we will have to wait and see.
