Good call on the card makers' part imo. It's dissapointing they're recycling ideas but still the ex card series was so great. And these new ones look way better than the old ones. Sure with Catcher and the 1st turn rules creativity is pretty limited but that could get better with time, an errata or if worst comes to worst a rotation in a couple years. Hopefully they'll make some evolution EXs and keep the full art cards as well. I wouldn't mind some Pokemon Star reprints with the difference being that the card gets Lost Zoned instead of discarded when knocked out.
The stadium is really disappointing though. Speed Stadium was at least a fun card. But it's a good direction they're taking the game overall. There aren't any trainers except Victory Medal that let you straight up draw cards. And this is the only stadium but you're not even guaranteed a card every turn. There also aren't any more free attacks except the babies and Yanmega. But there aren't any in the B&W on expansion sets. It almost seems like they're slowing the pace of the game down a little. Except for Catcher, but who knows why they did that... The first turn rules were just for simplicity but it still wasn't a good idea.
