I don't want your offer that was made to me through PM (along with 2 other offers) 5 minutes after I asked about an items value. Thank you for making that clear, but I wouldn't have sold it anyways without doing more research. I already had an offer slightly higher than yours.
I understand the concept of purchasing an item at a secondary event. My intuition tells me that multiple sites sold out of the same item, at the same price, probably didn't sell all of these at local events for much lower prices. I suppose they could have, but it seems unlikely. So in this case, I guess the answer is neither of us know what really happened to these items between its listing and when it was actually sold.
1) I'm going by what I see on websites. You're going by what you have done one time at an event with a booster box. That's like going to Wal-Mart and saying, yea, this sold out item's price tag is $20...there are none left, but it probably went for less because I didn't see it actually purchased. As I said, I went to google, searched websites, and did nothing more than post what I see that it sold out for. "Websites have them up for $40 and they're sold out everywhere" Where did I say they sold, 100%, at that price? You're getting defensive for me just posting what I see online as possible information. Quit trying to put words in my mouth.. Also, once again, the best offer accepted of $37 dollars for the individual pack on ebay.
2) I never said it was worth $40. I said that I saw it online at stores for $40 and it was sold out, indicating people actually do want them.
3) I left it up for one day because I considered opening these rather than selling. I figure with most buyers, people check ebay on a consistent basis. If I get a certain number of views, that to me shows interest. With the number of views I received, and a couple of messages, I decided to leave the box unopened and continue asking around for more than a couple opinions.
Listen, the only vibes I have gotten from you are negative. This isn't a small purchase for most people, so I don't suspect that it will sell quickly. The fact I was offered over a few hundred dollars by at least 2 people (1 being you) 5 minutes after posting it tells me that it might be something to get a second opinion on, which I really haven't had much input on. What you seem to dislike is someone discussing something with you in any way other than you feel is correct. So I guess the best thing for you to do is keep buying these locally where you still "see" them, and stop bothering me with PMs to sell you this item. Thanks for your help.
