That can also be considered spam to some...

Anyways, i have a few nicknames of my own...

Cacturne- Spikes
Gardevoir- GODevoir
Manectric- T.Storm
Alakazam- HocusPocus
Starmie- Ninja Star
Metagross- Meta Spida
Flygon- Dragoon
Ninetails- Krystal (as in the fox who was in Star Fox Adventures)

and last, but not least...

Swampert- Zero

My brother named four of his Pokémon Blue Pokémon after rappers. Here they are.

Charizard, Rah Digga
Cloyster, Ice Cube
 
Cloyster: "Spikoid"
Xatu: "Whatatotm!"
Typhlosion: "Pyroid"
Eevee: "33VEE"
Jumpluff: "Gobbleshu"
Misdreavus: "'Geist"
Smeargle: "Elgraems"
Porygon (my fav :)): "MMM! pie."

While we're on the subject of rappers, I named a Pidgey "Master P" once. Gave me a good laugh.
 
I think that once I get Jirachi on my sapphire I'll name him "Wish Maker" I'll have just enuf room to do it too.

Unless you get a Game Sharked/AR'ed Jirachi, it will simply be named Jirachi. Since it is a traded Pokemon you cannot rename it. On the plus side though, the original trainers name is WSHMKR or something to that effect
 
I started giving my main team members nicknames in Sapphire, and I really enjoy it.

Sableye: EYEOFTIGER (As in "Eye of the Tiger")
Gyrados: ELVIS (A play on words: Gyrados/Gyrate (or however you spell how he moved his hips).
Swampert: SWAMP FOX (Nickname of a guy in the Revolutionary War...I forget who it was)

That's all that I can think of right now, but I'll post more.
 
I like renaming my Pokemon backwards, and my favorite is this:

Zigzagoon: Noogazgiz

It's just so funny to say. Noogazgiz. It sounds weird but it still rolls off of your tongue well.

I have an AR so I can have any pokemon including Jirachi and Mew, I wish there was a code to have Max be the charictor you play.
 
I name some of my Pokemon from star constellations.

Examples:

Wailord=Cetus
Gyarados=Hydra
Lapras=Carina
Gardevoir=Virgo
Latios=Orion

Registeel: Chaos Fiend (his dots are layed out in the old style of chaos emeralds from Sonic games *when they were shown from the top, not the side, so i named it Chaos, for that, and Fiend cuz it's good)

Wailorca: After a fake pokemon i made. an EVO of Wailord, names Wailorca.
Lairon: Metagross, (with the , on it)
