Any other Furries using this forum?
Non-furs, What are your opinions on us? Did you ever get to have your picture taken with a fursuiter? Have you ever attended a Furry convention to see what its all about? Share your opinions and experiences. Keep it polite and clean.

Not among your ranks, but I've known a few who are. I know furries are under a lot of pressure from various fronts of the Internet community. So I imagine it's nice to hear from someone (like me) who is just totally indifferent.

Do what you want, I guess, it's not like it affects or bothers me personally, nor does it really say anything concrete about your personality. (I've liked all the furries I've met, as people, so there you go!)

I went around and looked at my posts, and noticed that I tend to be a bit harsh when expressing my opinions. I apologize.

Pikachu Cosplayer, not Furry.
Theres a huge difference between a furry and cosplayer.

Furries have this artistic thing they made the entire head, tail.
Usually resembling an ACTUAL animal.
Cosplayers just dress up as a character.

I'd have to agree with Waynegg. Furry is not only about the fursuits. from what I've seen from you, I would consider you a Pikachu. Most furries would consider you one as well. There in nothing wrong with that. To me, there is a pretty then line between furry and cosplay. Both are the same thing. One dresses and the animal they wish to be for a while just like the other dresses to be the anime character they wish to me.

Remember one thing. Furry came from animation and is apart of everyone. It's basically how we are raised now. We have human shaped animals in games and in the media. As for me, I go by Vaporeon on just about any website I visit and use a Vaporeon as my avatar. I don't mind going around as a Vaporeon. We are each furries but some are stronger or more involved then others.

Like I said before. I see you as a Pikachu and there is nothing to be ashamed of. Remember, furries cosplay too. a fursuit to me is nothing more then a complicated cosplay outfit. While we are on the same page. I was going to make a Vaporeon outfit that is nothing more the the head fins and a tail. Furry is furry no matter how you see it.

I still think wearing a pikachu kigurumi doesn't make me a furry :b
kigurumi and furry also have different wikipedia entries so hah :O

I mean if I can be considered a furry that's fine but you wont see me going to any furry conventions anytime soon :b

Oh no. It by no means make you a furry. Also, most furries I talk to attend anime conventions. Most of the furries conventions take place in anime conventions.

The question is do you think you're a Pikachu?

There were two furries at Worlds this year, a Shinx and a Floatzel, so we do at least have a few in the community.

I've met some furries at conventions, but I've never been to a convention purely designed for furries because that isn't really my scene. I don't have any problem with furries in general, any I've met always seem nice.

And I would agree with Tina about cosplaying and being a furry being different. I would consider Tina a Pikachu cosplayer rather than a furry. From my limited knowledge on the subject, being a furry seems to be more of a lifestyle choice, whereas cosplaying is more just dressing like a character for a specific event.

There's this one guy at league that dresses up as Tigger and pays hundreds of dollars for pictures of himself drawn as an animal. I think he could be considered among your ranks.

no, I don't do the entire animal - kin thing.
I live in a large city, Houston to be exact and I know wolf-kin.
And they think they are part wolf. no no no I am not one of those.
But I know quite a few and hang out with quite a few.

I don't judge people if they think are part wolf, phoenix, or whatever, but that seems to be the main types out there.

I know some people who are furries, I have some friends who are too, and I have nothing against them. Do what you want as long as you're happy :D
