With EX FR/LG, I think Nintendo decided to sort of start over with the TCG, like with the Gameboys.

EX FireRed/LeafGreen - Base, Jungle (other cards covered in the other EX Sets, such as ones from Fossil)
EX Team Rocket Returns - Team Rocket (obviously)

So, the next set in the older sets are Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge. Could that mean that the set after EX TRR (besides the Deoxys set) could be a gym leader set for the Hoenn region, since we had one for Johto (the VS Set) and one for Kanto?

Then after those sets, maybe we will have a new generation of cards, like with the Neo's. The new generation could have cards such as Gonbe and the new 4th generation Pokemon, and be neo neo sets. :)

Next year, I think the format will be EX FR/LG on, since they reprinted all of those cards, and it would be like they are starting the TCG format all over again.

What do you guys think?

We've skipped VS and other Japanese sets that feature owners for Pokemon. There are a bundle of theme decks that were released this year that had "Owner's Pokemon" cards in it. It was made very clear that these cards are seperate from the actual Trading Card Game itself when Wizards of the Coast released the Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge sets. I do not think we will be seeing any such future sets, IMO.

I would love to see a new round of Rocket, that included some of the second series of Pokemon, namely Meganium.

Then they could move on to the new gym set that could contain the owner's pokemon (or team's pokemon, to keep it simple) and so on.

I like the pattern of the rotation.

Man, some of this stuff is complicated.

Makes me miss the old Base set days when the trickiest plays were scoop up and gust of wind.

Talk to you soon.

They are actually going to remake the Rocket set? For sure? Incredible!

I really hope they get the game back in shape. That could help its reputation out a little and make it a little easier on the players.

I'm pretty sure, RoTR is not a remake of the original TR set. This will have brand new cards, never before seen anywhere in the world in it.

There hasn't been a reprint of a card before Expedition since.....before Expedition. Well...EXP. All was a reprint of a card from Neo 4. I guess what I'm saying is that there is like a 5% chance of any old cards from TR being reprinted.

Well, I feel they need to make more non-ex's. Like Blastoise, Charizard, Venusaur, Typhlosion, Meganium, and Feraligatr.

i say if they have dark in there name the will re release rocket hideout and the boss' way'
i hope for dark chex =)

Put back some recursion in TRR:

Dawn Dumpster Raid
Flip a number of coins equal to the number of Pokemon your opponent has in play. For each heads choose a Basic Pokemon or Evolution card and place it in your hand.

;-) j/k

IMO, the point of TRR jumping over Thunder on a Clear Day (my take on breaking blue sky) in the release order is, in part, the simultaneous release.

Now, league members and OP participants also supposed to be seeing 'cards in the OP series 6 months in advance of others getting them'. How are they going to give OP series cards to players/collectors with no OP. Release them in a set. ER, that's easy, just do a 'Southern Islands'. How are they going to get cards to put in series after series of OP sets? Maybe hold back a release and put it in the OP series. Just guessing wildly here.

Of course, what I mean is revisit the idea and tweak it, not completely reprint the set. If this does turn out to be true, I think I'll get into the set a little more than I previously have the other recent ones.

This would be another great set for dual types...

TyphlosionEX?!SS dude...

Yeah you kinda missed the word GOOD Typhlosion ex... like BPBD said.

I agree with prime, they need to make a non ex version of these cards too so we don't have to rely JUST on the ex version.

The next set is TRR? What happened to the Deoxy set that was supposedly coming out next? Is TRR out in Japan yet? (if it is, than there must be spoilers right?)

Nope, according to everything I've read, it will be a simultaneous release in both Japan and North America.

theres one card i would hope for out of the new set and that is......NIGHTLY GARBAGE RUN with town volenteers gone now we have to be conservative with catty not only would NGR eliminate that it would make the games be more competitive and less conservative

Actually, there's a "good" reason to why we are not getting the Deoxys set yet. That is because Deoxys hasn't been "officialized" as a Pokémon yet in America. Unless you go to all these Pokémon sites, you'd probably be going "What is Deoxys? I never heard of that Pokémon before. Is it a Pokémon from the next generation?" In other words, they want Deoxys to be an "official" Pokémon before they release a set revolving around it.
