Game Re-setting problems.

hi, I've just bought a Pokemon Sapphire game. Whenever I turn it on, it have this weird message that says "The internal battery have run dry, the game can be played, but clock based events will no longer..."(I hope I've spell/said it right). I've had it's batteries replaced (I even e-mailed nintendo about it), but the message still shows up!! Also, my game's having some re-setting-itself problems. Everytime I saved a game, the next time I turned it on I can't find the saved data at the options menu.(and yes, I've check if I'd fully saved the game before turning it off), kinda like it is re-setting itself...real scary.. Do you think it could be the internal battery problem? My pokemon Yellow also have this kind of re-setting itself problem. It weird but my brother's Ruby and Blue version, my friend's Red and Crystal version and so on don't have this kind of error. Am I the only one having it?? Does anyone else have this problem??? If so, how did you solve it(besides buying a new game)? Please help me!! Before I have GBA-Pokemon-Games-Phobia!!
 
Yes, that's a problem with the internal battery, if it has no power, you shouldn't be able to save the game at all.

The only way to fix it without buying a new game is to take apart the game cartridge and replace the battery. The only time I've had this problem was with my japanese Silver version (At least I think I was having the same problem, I couldn't really read it...)

If you really wanted to, you could get the adapter and keep the system plugged and on in at all times, that way, you'd never have to save/turn the game off ;x

so... I can replace the batteries by myself? cuz the man at the shop charge me a really hight price(I feel like sueing him for no reason). One mre thing.. if I opened up the game, and replace the baatteries, would it like.... ruin the whole game or mess up the data? also..the the previouse saved game be deleted? cuz I've just caught a Feebas!! but then, better change the battery now before my game resets itself again.. and did you know? I've played it 5 times already and haven't even battle the 6th gym?
 
Technically, yeah you can change the internal battery yourself, but if you don't do it correctly, it could mess up the entire game, so I wouldn't recommend it, unless you know what you're doing.

And yes, installing a new battery would cause all your saves/information to be lost.
 
In the last Pokegym forum somebody had the exact question. I think it has something to do with play time? I'm not sure... BTW, is it a Game boy Advance or a SP?
 
it may just have to do with the gameboy... would your parents take you to get a new gameboy for this problem?? this happenend to me also i got a new gameboy and it was fine. an sp i got.
 
cant you make nintendo/walmart give you a new game because the one u bought already had this problem? i mean they should have to give you a new one for selling you a messed up game! you could sue if they dont, cant you?
