It does, but rayquaza will be active usually

The reason you want to use Blend/Prism/Rainbow/Multi/Universal/MyLittlePony Energy is because it puts less stress on your Eelektriks. You need to discard 3 for a KO on most things except like genies, unless you got PlusPower. So if you want to stream this thing taking big KOs you'll need 2 Eelektrik in play to do it with the Prism in addition to a manual attachment of that special Energy. If we do it your way, you need an extra Lightning in addition to that basic Fire. Granted if your Rayquaza lives for a long time you'll get more bang for your buck with the basic Fire, but I don't see that happening, especially considering it's weak to itself.

I don't understand your defense of Blend sorry, in the fact that the Blend that produces Fire energy does NOT produce lightning, meaning you CANNOT use it for the attack damage. And as such acts in the same way as a basic fire.

Yeah, if the Blend Energy that produced Fire also Produced Lightning, it would be no better than Prism Energy; you'd always have to discard it.

Depending on the exact deck there could be a reason to use it, but unless you're expecting more OHKO vs OHKO, there isn't much of a point... which actually is probably the most valid argument, but even that just makes me thing "run Prism Energy".

The reason rayquaza is OP is beacuse of skyarrow and how it will have a free retreat and be able to have 2 out and consistantly be ablr to do 180+ each turn i built it and it worked really well

don't use prism or rainbow thanks to the text youll have to replace one very turn because it counts as all energies at once blend energy fire on the other hand no you dont have to do that

I cannot see these two being run together,

I don't see any reason to put special energy in a rayquaza deck.

You run eelektrik to power up lightning, and you run a couple of BASIC fire energy to sit on rayquaza to pay for the cost.

Using blend just opens you up to crash/remodelling/whateveritscalled hammer with no actual benefit aside from making you weaker against drifblim, and not being able to recover it if it goes to the discard.

the only use i can currently see for running blend energy would be to power a shaymin ex in the deck late game, however for 3 lightning energy Rayzuaza will be able to OHKO EVERYTHING in the format (bar wailord which won't be run, and some EXs with eviolite) so there is no point in shaymin ex as its a weaker, squishier attacker that runs off different energy to the rest of your deck.

At least this is my take on it

Yes, but out of those 2, one will ALWAYS be active, meaning if it has a special energy on it, it will be able to be crash hammered.
And that isn't the reason rayquaza is OP, it's OP because of its attack, features adding to that are its HP and and retreat, but they arent the main reason.

But HOW? You haven't given any reason, you're just saying blend is OP because it produces a FIRE energy and NOT a lightning energy... Basic fire energy ALSO does this.

Thanks for producing an actual counter point rather than just saying it is needed with no reason.
However I don't feel darkrai will be played in rayquaza as it really just isnt needed as it has a retreat of 1, so skyarrow bridge works the same.
And rayquaza is such a good countner to mewtwo in itself sigilyph probably wont be run.

Blend energy are good and I like them, don't get me wrong... I just see no point in them for Rayquaza
