Ok, this is my semi-famous Gardevoir deck that saw play on the east coast throught the later half of the year. This deck almost always made the top cut at tournys it was played in, and had good matchups against most popular decks. What makes the deck so good is that it is very flexible in stratgy, and also has lot's of nasty tricks and suprizes. I have seen many players who are sitting there thinking that, there's no way they are going to lose, and then POW!! Before you even realy know what happend their opponent takes the last prize card and wins. This deck was played at nats by my yonger brother( he was wearing a pikachu hat), and did fairly well going 4-4. My brother wone the first sevrel matches, but later made several bad misplayes that cost him top cut. I think that this deck is good enough for ppl to consider it for the grinder, and posibly worlds. Here's the deck list.

Pokemon 26

4 Ralts DF
3 Kirlia DF
2 Gardevoir DS
2 Gardevoir ex DF
2 Swablu DF
2 Altaria ex DF
1 Squirtle CG (solid shell)
1 Blastoise d CG
1 Duskull PK
1 Dusknoir PK
1 Mew pop5
1 Latias*
4 Holon's Castform
1 Holon's Magnemite

1 Farmer
3 PETM

Trainers 11

4 Transceiver
4 RC
2 Wind Storm
1 Giant Stump

Energy 12

4 :fire:
2 :psychic:
4 Delta Rainbow
2 Special :metal:

The main attackers
The main attackers are Gardevoir ex and Gardevior. The entire deck rotates around these 2 cards. allot of the stratgy is about energy manipulation, moveing castforms and other energy around with Flame ball and energy jump. Altaria is just for energy acelleration, but can be a decent attacker if needed.
The tecs.
Youre main tecs. are Blastoise and Dusknoir. Blastoise main purpose in the deck is to get rid of that deadly psysic weekness, and can be a good attacker if needed. Let me tell you, Gardevoir ex with no weekness is scary. Dusknoir is a truly evil creation, thats mostly for added disruption, and can be a devastating late game attacker. I have seen many battles wone because of Dark Palm. The Mew is just a metanite tec., though with Infernape going around, there might be a better tec. And finaly, the card that I like to refer to as " the butt saver". Just play this deck for a few times and you will get to know what I mean. This card has goten this deck out of more tight spots than I can remember. It also greatly helps against R-gon, and makes the match up very much in youre favor.

Stratagy
There isn't allot of explaing I can realy do, considering how the stratgy is different for each deck out there. The main idea is to attack with Gardevoir ex, and imprizion any ppmn with powers, there for slowing them down. When you think you are going to get KO'd, move the castform to a bench after flame ball. Use Dusknoir and Blastoise to support youre attacking pkmn, and Latias* for a quick ko when needed.

Matchups

Metanight 90-10 if running Sceptile ex 50-50 to around 60-40( it graetly depends on how fast they can get it out)

This match up should be a pice of cake, use Gardy ex and Dusknoir to shut them down.

R-gon 70-30

Use Blastoise to get rid of youre weekness, and abuse Latias*, same basic stratgy that you would use against metanite, just be a bit more carefull about youre Altaria ex on the bench as they will progagly fall prey to Ray ex. Other than that, very winable.

Inferncatty 50-50 to 60-40 ( depends on how fast they get set up)

Just imprizion their delcattys, and pray that they don't t2 infernape. This one of youre closer matchups, but you should be able to come out on top.

Mario 90-10 to 60-40 ( highly depends on their abilty to get a quick lucario)
This deck is a joke, feal free to destroy them.

Banette 20-80 ( most always an ato-lose)

Not much you can do here, youre best shot is to hope that they get roten luck.

Absolutions ?

I'm not sure about this match up since I never have goten to battle one.

Ambush 50-50

Ugg, Empoleon will be youre down fall if youre not carfull, this will be a tough match. Try to out spead them, use Gardevoir DS and psysic rage them if you get to much damage.

I hope frome this, you can apreaciate how good Gardevoir ex, an much under estimated card, can be.
If you have any ideas on how to make this great deck even better feal free to poast them.

Are you going to worlds?

If not, then I would suggest making an HP-on deck because a lot of the cards you use will be rotated.

Also, please provide numbers for how many pokemon/trainers/energy you use.

No I'm not going to worlds, but I thought that somone might like to use this deck. ( I might post a deck I am working on though)

What? I have how many of each card I use.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Oh, I think I saw you at nat's. Did you see my brother make what was proably the single most amazeing play in the whole tourny, against an R-gon?

I don't know?

I was the person who said R-Gon sucked and anyone who used it was dumb, and that the creators were noobs.

I was suggesting counting how many pokemon/trainers/energy you have.

Example:

Energy

4 R
2 P
4 Delta Rainbow
2 Special

Could be stated as:
Energy[12]

4 R
2 P
4 Delta Rainbow
2 Special

See what I mean? It helps people count cards, overview ratios, etc.

You could remove Latias * to add Mew *, because Mew d POP5 doesn't one hit Infernapes. And Mew* is a better starter (and adds to delta draw).

So my suggestion is... -Mew d -Latias* +Mew* +Something (could be a Lugia ex if you really want to KO Flygon ex).

thats why u were playing it? i figured u were just goin w/ the crowd, lol, yea.. i saw u there...

again i will overstate the fact that this deck wont see play because it is too slow to be considered for anything as high a stake as Grinder or Worlds.

Not the latias*!!!:eek: That thing has won more battles than any other card in the deck. the mew pop 5 could posibly be replaced with a lugia ex though.

LOL!

alright I would drop the Dusknoir, it's really not need. Instead you could run Queen D to help you stay consistent. If you drop Dusknoir, you can also drop PETM, which opens 3 spots:

-3 Petm
-1 Duskull
-1 Dusknoir

+1 H. Mentor
+1 Windstorm
+1 H. Adventurer
+1 Nidoran D
+1 Nidoqueen D

You could still run this next year. Just switch out the engine, and Latias* for Mew*.

Thank you far actualy poasting somthing helpfull, unlike some ppl *cough* Ardoptres*cough*. I like the idea, I also like the idea of being able to use this deck next year, but what could replace the Gardevoir DS. It's one of the main attackers, and one of the most powerfull. It's pokepower also plays a key role in the deck. Any ideas?

that's a hard one, as no card (at least now) does that.

I guess it could use the male gardevoir (can't remember it's name), but allot of battles have bin won because of Gardevoir DS abilty to move energy, most notibly castform.
