Gardevoir ruling

To the wiser, powers that be, I have asked Master Professor Birch for his opinion and i would like a consensus
With Gardevoir X's attack it states for two psychic energy the pokemon with the least HP remaining (your's or your opponents) is knocked out (except for Gardevoir)
Does that mean if a have 3 Gardevoirs on my bench, even if their damaged and have lower HP than my opponents, are they untouchable because of Gardevoir X's attack wording as this is not a pokebody, it is an attack????
I eagerly anticipate your ruling
Thank you

The reference to Gardevoir in the attack is a self reference. It does not mean any and all Gardevoir. If it meant that, it would use "any" or "all" in the wording.

With that said, the rules team is asking for a clarification from PLC on whether you have to KO your own Pokemon if it has the lowest HP, or if you get to only look at your Opponent's Pokemon.

Thanx POP, that's what Birch was saying, just wanted a consensus
I guess I'll just have to wait for the new Wailord and stash four of those 200 HP heavy weights on the bench with a couple of Gardevoirs X's
