1. Who finished 1-2 in the Fan Appreciation Tournament?

2. Who were the 1-2 Team Tournment champions? (I think Jim Ferrell and someone took first against Stephanie Barlock and someone else (who I should remember))

I know Jeroen Robert from Belgium ended very high in one of those tournaments.
I remember he was loaded with boosterboxes and stuff.

I will ask him what his record was.

Not Sure Who Came in 2nd,
However Jason K. aka Ness are Current World Champ Won It...
He Also Won the 10K Gencon Poker Tourney the day before,
Drew

Jeroen Roberts ended also 3th on the teamplay event.
Team Belgium was Jeroen Roberts, Ken Jacobs

Yes they do, Arnoud (nr3 Worlds 2006, 10-) was playing at gencon 2003 too.
Ending top8 in modified between all those big boys (he was only 6 at that time).
He made his own version of Entei/Cargo (added Typhlosion and more) and it was real fun to see him sitting on his knees on the chair, because he did not reach the top of the table otherwise.

Gencon 2003 was for me the eyeopener regarding the differences in Europe concerning Pokemon.
We were (and to be honest still are) far behind.

I do remember seeing MT Jimmer there and Dave Schwimmer. Dave was throwing R/S boosters around during the day (and much more like mousepads etc).

Oh I remember this, I got like 400th or 200th something in this. I got a box of expedition in a goodie bag and some stuff. Higher places got uncut card pages and table mats.

Yeah, Brian Six and I won the Team Championship thing. Pretty cool and all, I literally had to use a hotel cart to carry all my prizes and my trophy out of there. Not kidding.

Yeh, I remember the box for everyone, I was hoping for a Skyridge Box, I got a Neo Destiny and Pulled 5 Shinings and like 15 or so Holos (Including the Shinings) it was a good box...

i dug through my stuff and found the complete final standings and summary of the tournament.

i finished 8th, Team Los Angeles. if you stayed up till 4am to watch us draft, you may remember me counter-drafting a tentacool and ripping it in half

Summary

Standings

Haha, I remember the sacrificed Tentacool. :thumb:

Team Pidgeotto-Scyther FTW! We had a winning record but my partner Scytherno123 formerly at PokemonZeo had to leave early. Right before he left, he Scoop Up'd his lone basic turn 1, and I got us one more win with a tanked Scizor beating both players single handedly.

Why Do I have a feeling that was Versus Me...

I was playing some crappy rogue deck for fun, that I just was fooling around with (Donphan) cuz I had been away at school for awhile...

I was playing with my son, and he was tired and not willing to listen.
Don't remember what we were playing, only remember I decided to stop and get back to the hotel.

Team Pidgeotto-Scyther was at the same motel as we, the motel wase in a kind of reconstruction and it "hailed/rained" with plastic bubbles all day. Looked like snow and was all over the place.

ross, i remember playing against your team. your partner was sooo annoying... asking us dumb questions like "do you know the computer language java? no?.. well i do, i'm soo cool"

lia, i remember playing against you too, you were team double dutch, i we exchanged autographs after.

LOL - I don't know anymore, was I already "famous" at that time?
Sami from the UK told me I beated him in one of those tournaments, but I cannot remember (augh I'm getting old).
I know for sure I am a much better player now.
Did I really played Gengar??

It was much fun that's what I do remember, and oh boy we were to busy watching people.
People dressed up, people sleeping in the hall. Walking around and experiencing the difference between Europe and the USA gaming audience.
