GG vs. LuxChomp

In a match between Luxray Gl/ Garchomp C and Gardevoir Gallade, what deck wins typically, and why?
I noticed that LuxChomp is dominating in States, but am wondering why GG isn't more successful and/or beating LuxChomp down.
GG has Power Locking and OHKOs with Gallade (type advantage). But LuxChomp has disruption which is good against any deck with Claydol/Uxie build.
Taking into account techs, like Uxie X and Ambipom G.
Spiritomb start for GG, or no?
Tournament experience, testing experience, and speculation welcome, just wondering if anybody has any opinions.

I beat about 4 luxchomps out of the 2 states i went too. A spiritomb start hurts lixchomp to much and team galatic wager after being locked with spiritomb hurts. GG would win over luxchomp.

That (^) is entirely untrue. LuxChomp 2HKOs everything and can hit a Gardy/Gallade before it's setup. Besides, Flash Impact+Psychic Restore=KO on Gardevoir, Dragon Rush+Psychic Restore=KO on Gallade, and Uxie Lv.X+Lucario+Crobat=OHKO on everything in the deck (for 1 if you get a DCE). The kid above me was playing bad LuxChomps if he won against all of them. Sure, Gardy can Wager you, but the fact that Psychic Restore is such a good attack in the matchup means that you can use Uxie as much as you like when you're not under Psychic Lock.

yes that true but thats why its a 50-50 matchup because GG can use gallade to clean the field of luxrays and co. while dark palkming all other attackers, its a hard matchup and just comes down to the set up of each decks, and how well teh decks are used by the player

My BF's been playing with a GG variant and I can tell you flat out it's not a clean sweep in either's favor.

GG has powerlock and spiritomb which when set up right can destroy Luxchomp, but the truth of the matter is that if they can't start with a spiritomb, a well built Luxchomp manned by a good player can tear you up a lot faster than GG.

I'm not gonna rate the match myself, but I will say that it's ridiculously difficult on both planes.

The matchup is in GG's favor. With Telepass it's very hard not to get set up, and them sniping your Claydol isn't that big of a deal. You Power Lock them the whole match and if things somehow manage to get ugly, just send up Gallade, attach E-belt, and sweep.

Probably Luxchomp's only bad matchup.

i think luxchomp has the advantage over GG like 60-40 if not a little more. luxchomp easily outspeeds GG its a garunteed T2 dragon rush/flashimpact/trashbolt. if they start with spiritomb it gives luxchomp difficulty, but i dont think its enough to get luxchomp beaten more than luxchomp beats GG. i've seen the matchup with both really skilled players and really good builds and i still think luxchomp has more of the advantage.

Well...I slaughtered all of the SP decks I played at states, including LuxChomp, DialgaChomp, and LuxApe. I think it's more of 60-40% in GG's favor.

Yeah, a high Wager count is pretty good against SP, it gives you a chance to break a possible chain of Cyrus'. Under a lock, that's kinda devastating.

Just wait until Energy Exchange Unit comes out of the next set. GG is going to become even more of a potent force with T2 Psychic Lock happening that much more often.

My GG has yet to lose to a luxchomp, playtesting-wise and at sates...of course you could argue that the lists were bad but they were all in the top 10 at states i played in and my list of said deck was extremely similar to theirs.

Like it was said, the matchup is not in any way easy for either side bc luxchomp's speed is undeniable but the potential of a gallade is just the same. if luxchomp can't rip through you setup fast enough (basically keep a ralts alive to make it to gallade) gg can make a stand that luxchomp has difficulty dealing w/ even w/ uxie. it could be my build but obviously a spritomb start does what it does to sp, but i also ran palkia x and queen. uxie's restore then goes from 50 to 30 and 20 against gardy x...the matter wasn't helped that i was restructuring any potential threats w/ either psy lock or psy cut...

those two attacks are pains for any deck, but i will say that spritomb is crucial to the matchup bc even w/ my bad luck, i never started w/ tomb but i made it a priority to get one out no later than the 2nd turn of the game otherwise luxchomp would be to overwhelming to handle. That said every game i've played against luxchomp have been amazing games were 1-2 prizes is usually the final outcome in my favor.
