Giratina Lv.x Make Good!

Giratina Lv.x can be good? competitive? with togekiss/leafeon or absol/mars is good?

Played with empoleon lv X using spread and hand disruption it can be very good.

...I somehow doubt I would have done anywhere near as well at states without the 1-1 Giratina tech. :/
My theory was that as long as you have something else spreading first, slowly build up Giratina (make sure you have enough energy control to still be able to attack/switch attackers/etc. I used Bronzong G personally), then clean up with Giratina, it could be amazing.

The problem I have with using Giratina as a main attacker is that its large HP is still two hit KO-able by everything (...though Kingdra needs a pluspower/damage already on it via Dragon Pump). However if you use it to clean up, 130 is quite difficult for Stage 1s/basics to beat up, and 30 spread is VERY devastating. Not to mention 60 plus some spread is quite good. Enough to stand alone? No. But if you can afford to shift some energies around to it, why not?

Yeah my Giratina Deck did pretty midiocre at states at NM and I used Togekiss/Bronzong for spread it did alright but no where compared to the G-Decks I played, so now I use giritina/Drapion/Giritina its doing pretty good and try Galactic Mars with giritina it slows down your opponent alot with invisible tentacles poke-body esspecially at the start but watch out for kingdra decks esspecially when they want to discard cards.

Absol/Giratina ISN'T horrible, it's extremely disruptive when played correctly.

Who says you need to Attack with Giratina? Sure his attack is good, but Im digging his body.

Really, Giratina/Leafeon is really good, it took 3rd at Utah States, and i heard it cut/did decent at all the states, Togekiss/Giratina, eh, Leafeon is better.

Giratina/Weavile, it could work, try it i guess

From what I've seen, Giratina is better suited as a disruptive supporter pokemon. The most effective combo with Giratina X is likely Empoleon from Platinum for the sheer discard (Put that together with Empoleon X and Mars and it becomes quite easy to get rid of their hand). Whilst I've seen Giratina run with Ampharos, I'm not that confident in a Giratina as a main attacker. 30 for all is nice, and Lost Zone is a nice addition as well, but I think Giratina X would do better with Dusknoir or Bronzong.

I think Power Spray killed off Togekiss for good.

I agree. Power Spray got rid of any help Togekiss carried.

Weavile does work, or at least it can, and it also allows you to run Palkia lv. X (with Moonlight) for potential bench sitter lockage while you spread. Changing to Dark has its obvious advantages against Dusknoir, Gengar, other Giratina, and anything that resists Psychic, and the benefit you get from special Dark energy can be used to speed up KOs on the active when you're spreading or if you just really need to do 70/80.
