Here is a fun deck that I use to play against kids that recently started playing Pokemon.
It teaches them things like conditions, evolutions, and the usefulness of trainers.
It also shows that you can make a deck without any rare or expensive cards.
Pokemon
3 Panpour (Collect/Scratch)
3 Pansage (Collect/Scratch)
3 Pansear (Collect/Scratch)
3 Simipour (Scald/Fury Swipes)
3 Simisage (Seed Bomb/Fury Swipes)
3 Simisear (Searing Flames/Flame Blast)
Trainers
1 Pokemon Center
4 Energy Retrieval
2 Great Ball
2 Bianca
4 Pokemon Communication
4 Cheren
4 Professor Juniper
4 Super Rod
2 Bicycle
Energy
5 Grass
5 Fire
5 Water
Strategy: Get a bunch of monkeys out & have fun.
Simisear is the best attacker in this deck, he can easily do 100 damage with three fire energy.
Never had any problems getting basics or evolving them.
Open to suggestions, though the deck is mostly for fun.
