Donphan is pretty much an autoloss and with the amount of it around this isn't a very smart play for now. Hopefully for the first battle roads with some testing with catcher to see if this deck is even viable it can win a battle road where its not over run by Donphan... It has decent match ups at the current state of the game against pretty much everything except Donphan or really anything with Donphan in it.

So i hope this list helps some people who want to build a T-Tar cause hes a f@uckin beast lol. I've tested it quit a bit and it can consistently beat Reshiphlosion and PrimeTime if you get a decent setup and they don't blow up and other top decks.... to lazy to list.

Main goal... Darkness Howl then Jirachi and also do anything else through out the game you need to :p

Hey donphan, why don't you give some feedback? I'm really interested to hear what you obviously know about this deck. Considering the limited amount of recovery available in this format, I'm assuming you mean Flower Shop Lady & Rescue Energies? Revives and Retrievals don't seem to fit this style of deck, but I could be wrong...

The fact he doesn't pla basic energy is kinda bad too I'm not bashing him or anything

I'm friends with the guy who played ttar in top 8 and this isn't close by what I see

I tried basic and its blah and with no basic flower shop lady is garbage and another big reason t-tar made top 8 is it never ran into donphan.

this seems like a good list but jirachi really need the psychic in the discard. this can be obtained buy using junk arm to discard them and retreating but you dont need that many dark energy because you really only want to be doing darkness howl to spread and then jirachi for a lot of KO. i threw yanmega in my list for donphan counter and its just a good card. mandibuzz could be used to.

Donphan is not a problem most of the time if you play correctly.

Junk Arm, Reversal, and Zoroark are all bad here. Focus more on consistency and getting out your guys instead of fancy playing and you will do fine.

How do you handle Donphan? Im seriously interested because its really hard for me. You can pm if you want to but thats pretty much my only problem.

The Zoroark actually hasn't helped me that much so ill try something a little different. But idk the junk arms simple like something every decks needing.

^Yanmega is easily splashable.
There's also that Cryogonal card coming out (probably after EP) that is a decent Donphan counter.
It dooes 30 for a water and colourless and 70 if the Defending is Fighting. OKHO on Donphan.
If you include this, you could throw in some Rainbow Energy. Serperior can easily heal off the damage counter it places so it's not like you're going to kill yourself.

The deck could be a little more straightforward. Just spread and tank. With the need for only 1 energy to attack, setting up Tyranitar should be done as fast as possible.

Pokemon: 17
3-1-3 Tyranitar Prime
2-1-2 Serperior
1-1 Zoroark
1 Tyrogue
2 Cleffa

Trainers: 30
4 Pokemon Collector
3 Professor Juniper
3 Professor Oak's New Theory
1 Flower Shop Lady
1 Professor Elm's Training Method
4 Junk Arm
4 Rare Candy
3 Pokemon Reversal
3 Pokemon Communication
1 Switch
3 Twins

Energy: 13
4 Darkness Energy
5 Basic Dark
4 Double Colorless Energy

^Well Tyranitar needs 2 PlusPower/Sp Dark as well, but for like 3 more energy.

And I think the guy even said in his interview with the top cut that he has no way to beat Donphan. He just counts on Yanmega decks to beat Donphan for him.

no he said yanmega beat them for him he never said he has no way to beat it lol need a link?

james is a good player and usually can out play anyone so match ups dont realyy matter to him plus i saw him beat dophan

Naww, I believe you. Btw cos James can win any matchup, ask him to win worlds with aggro-Slowking Prime for me. :p

Anyway, getting back on topic I'd probably try and max out the Collectors.
