Grass Deck Ideas/thoughts

So I have been struggling to build a decent grass deck in today's formats. Granted, torterra is always an option but I feel that torterra is just using HP as a win condition because he himself needs so much work. IDK

Anyways, after torterra I looked back at leafeon. I didn't like magleaf, but I loved leafeon and I loved GE Sceptile. However the deck I think also has issues because I only have two copies of my attacker in my deck. If they kill two leafeon X then I am in night maintenance mode, which doesn't sound so great.

However I looked at what magleaf had over leaftile, it was that second attack. So then I looked at GE Tangrowth. Tangrowth and Sceptile were made for each other, no doubt. However now I face the problem of potentially having waaayy too many poke. I mean I am talking 3-3 tangrowth, 4-2-2-1-1 leafeon/X/umbreon/espeon and 2-1-2 tile with 3 candies. Thats a lot. Now i can fit in claydol and other trainers and such so the deck is PACKED. I'm not to convinced about consistency and overall power. I mean how often will I draw dead poke I don't want?

So any ideas or tips regarding these goobers is appreciated. I know about the IFDS Tan and SCep but I mean, I really care about IFDS till its out. For now I am just trying to get this deck to work. Another thought was either just Tan and TIle or just Tan and Leafeon. I really don't know. The concept I was going for was trying a different array of attacker. SImilar to a magic deck in the fashion that i could take any starter and make him an attacker and just keep rushing in with pokemon with high HP, and very powerful and useful attacks over and over. Let me know what you guys think, any help is appreciated,

For Leafeon + Secptile just run 4-3-1 Leafeon. Use Premier Ball to get the level X out of the discard quickly. Tech in an Azelf (la) so you can get the level X if it's prized. Leafeon is actually a decent attacker even without the level X.

Personally I don't like Tangrowth because it can take too many energy out of play when it goes down.

4-3-1 Leafeon
1 Espeon
1 Umbreon
2-1-2 Sceptile
2-2 Claydol
1 Azelf
1 Chatot
=21
4x Bebe
4x Ranni
2x POV
2x TGW
=12+21=33
3x Dawn Stadium
4x Pokeradar
2x Premier Ball
2x NM
1x TSD
1x Warp Point
=13+33=46
14x Grass

Then jsut attack with Leafeon X and load energys to somewhere....

When the new Sceptile comes out, that won't be a problem. I've seen it work with the POP Sceptile. Energy Trans FTW.

And there's a new spreading, tank-ish Tangrowth in that set.

I thirded a battle road with Tangrowth/Leafeon/Sceptile. I lost to Steven Silvestro playing Blissey.

I love it. Once you get Sceptile and Leafeon out, it's over. The problem is that it takes some time and luck to get setup right.

Did you use Smeargle? It's great in this deck.

When Shaymin Lv.X comes out... :D

150 HP Leafeons and Tangrowths! Yikes.

right but then i have the same issue of not having options in attacks, leafeon hits hard, tangrowth snipes hard, options = good, but ya sceptgrowth is an option

It seems like if you don't want to do Sceptile/Torterra, you will just have to wait for IFDS. But Sceptile/Torterra isn't as laborious as you think. Torterra only needs two Grass Energy cards when you have a Sceptile in play.

ya i did scep/tort for a while, it just seemed ... "fragile" i don't know, 2 stages twos that both HAVE to be out to do any good, meh

Depends on which Torterra you use. I like the newer one doing 60 for 2 even if you don't have Sceptile out yet. I ran Sunflora to counter the bench damage somewhat. Most folks say the DP one though.

I would go with1 DP and 2 MD with the lvX of coarse.

in my former build this is what i used. DP one was really just a tech for a spread deck, and to counter earthquake spread

but enough about tort. My leaf/tile/growth deck somehoe appeared in my eyes as an all grass version of magleaf, any thoughts out there?

I was calling it the Green Firetruck.

Ever consdierr using Yanmega whilst building the Torterras and Sceptiles?? Mega has Free Retreat, Damage spread for nada (Which helps wiht torterras low damage output) and not a bad 2nd attack. PLus you get a different Weakness type for matchups!

Just a thought!
