Grinder Questions

Hey now, got a few questions on my mind about my first time at a world tourny (Thanks to it being 20 minutes away from my house this year, woot).

1: What time should I be in line for LCQ... 6, 7, 8, be there at 9? I'm hoping people wont be lining up overnight?

2: Should I even be worrying about question 1?

3: I've read about how many people will be in worlds but for some reason I can find nothing on how many people will be at LCQ or how many they will let in, it being "first come first serve & what-not.
(Rough-guess of course I'm not looking for an exact number)

4: Should I be expecting to play against anything other than T1 decks? Or due to it being a free for all, maybe a few poop decks sprinkled about the 11 year olds : P

Edit: Seniors division, forgot to mention >< Doh!

Thanks & sorry if i'm re-asking questions : D

You live in Kona area, travel to Hilo so often for gaming?

7am at earliest would suffice. Be at hilton by 8.30 as I tell you, its a huge place.

2: Should I even be worrying about question 1?
No

Around 30 or so for Seniors.

You will face a lot of Tier 1 and a good deal of Tier 2, but rarely Tier 3 and worse.

My answers in purple inside your quote

To add on to Jason's answer for # 3, that's the number of slots to get into Worlds, the number of people competing in the LCQ is going to be much higher

T1 Deck is a top-tier deck, proven to be one of the best(Luxxhomp, Dialgachomp, Sablelock, etc)

It could also be used as a reference to a Turn 1 deck, like Shuppet...

I was under the assumption that he meant tiers as Jason mentions tier 1/tier 2/tier 3. But yeah, it could mean that too

Note that it is possible that players get turned away from the LCQ. The number of players is limited by the size of the room and the maximum occupancy levels as set by the fire marshal. So far they have not had to turn anyone away, but it is always a possibility.

In Florida two years ago, they closed down / took over the open gaming room to make space for all the players, so efforts will be made to accommodate the crowd, but limiting the size is still a possibility.
