Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

GrumpigStall vs American archetypes, i challenge you

I believe he said very early =\

Very early would be Okt-nov 2006,
I don't consider March (States) early.
And after States (Kyle S victories) it started to get attention from the bigger public.
Untill that time it was played with 2 Flygon EX d and received (in March) the name R-gon.

But let's have some more fun.
Mr Vergel calls it a bad list.
Let's see what was in the email along with this list.
Team R made the list that swept the southeast (winning 3 states with the same list and getting numerous other trophies).

i gave kyle the deck at a City Championship (December/January?). It had 1 Flygon ex d. He added a second one himself for states.

moza: i would prefer to play non-timed games.

Guys, i'm trying to install AIM to contact better you all but "A server error occured" appears every time!

I'm GMT +2 and i can be online 3pm--->7pm.

What the flying fearows is this!!! Grumpig stall, ROFL, I don't think it is April yet, try bumping this in a 7 months

That list isn't MINE. Just because we POSTED it doesn't mean we PLAYED it. You really think we're stupid enough to post our actual list? Why bother?

Exeggutor was made before states. I'm not sure if it was played at any CCs. I only went to two and they were back to back and I used SS, and besides me the only team R member with me was alex who used gatrqueen and stuff.

I can't speak for the rest of us.

I can't believe we are having the discussion of "stall decks vs americans"

I do believe I proved this going 9-2 at FL regionals. Both of my losses were to Eric Craig. However in Finals I was 1 NRG away game 2 from being regional champ. What was he playing? SS.

It was one of the most difficult matchups for the deck. I however didn't run dugtrio. Not sure if it woulda helped but I didn't play it.

So YES stall decks were very difficult for USA metagames if played at the right time. I believe the two regional trophys on my dresser are proof.

Did you play the deck at that time? And did it win?
And did you play the exeggutor already?

Kyle, Aaron and I played 2 Flygon ex and 1-1 Fearow at SC and NC states, and then added a 1-1 Eggs line for GA and LA states. Omar played 2-2 Eggs and no fearow at FL states.

NOw we are getting somewere.
Yes during States which was in March.
We did play egss and flygon d from the first CC overhere which was I think November.
I even posted it on the gym in January. A very carefull simple post.

At that time (early January and before) people were not even thinking about eggs or 3 flygon d, it was all about playing Queen or Eeveelutions with flygon/EX. and otherwis it was Metanite and maybe Super stantler (SS).

And I know the main difference was not only 3 Flygon but also the use of Mew*, Mew d, Castaway/Strength Charm.
And for the "local" metagame holon GL nrg.
For us there was no need for Holon GL and Fearow is personal preference.

I kept on following the Flygon EX d topic in architypes, but our deck was not focused on Flygon EX.
Several techs added and removed based on personal preference.
I say flygon d or call it R-gon was actually made at 2 spaces on earth on 2 different continent with both parties not having contact untill I posted a basic flygon d list. And as far as I could see the very first list based on the flygon d / tech pokemon concept.

FINALLY
i got apprentice working, and hamachi is successfully installed
PMing ya andceo, lets see if we can settle this

If the one week difference matters at all, Kyle and I added a 1-1 eggs line into our lists before NC states. I think that this stupid "I invented it first" argument is never going to be settled no matter what deck it pertains to because people are too stubborn to admit that it is even possible that they didn't invent a deck. However, this whole thing is completely off topic since this thread is, obviously, about andceo attempting to prove that grumpig stall is a real deck. I don't see why it really matters anymore since the cards are rotated and the new fossil rule has demolished any stall decks.

The point is, over and over a certain group of USA players is ignoring some real facts, because it's not in their "favor".
Andceo has nothing to loose, we are already considered as No-brainers.

Thanks, Squirtle for your post.
I never tested SS because of have never been in italy and since someone was running crappy decks, it lost a lot of power (i think) in Italy.
It was the 2nd choiche for our national for some of italian people, but only one played absolutions in our nationals.

In a granitical metagame (like the american one in the first part of the season, with only metanite, deta, bandoom, flariados), grumpigstall and stall decks could be the best way to own the games.

I think that andceo can do great things against all of the challengers.

BTW, i still think that grumpig vs metanite is 90-10. a lone spoink or fossil for 3 turns would be the only situation for the loss.
