well we have it in my apartment, and i quickly found out i cannot play the drums...;-(
for the Tool Tour, you have to spend $8000 of your hard earned in-game cash.

oh yeah, there is issues on the drums between GH:WT and RB2 on the PS3. Sony will be puting out a patch for that problem soon.

but i am REALY Happy playing some Bon Jovi!

Yeah, I heard the drums were having problems. If you hit them on the edge they don't like to respond, but if you hit them in the center-ish spots they work just fine. I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about, though.

I'm really interested in those Solo button things. They've got me amped!

I really want to get this game, but i only want to get it for the drums since I already have like 3 guitars at home but unfortunately there not selling the drums separately or atleast I can't find them anywhere.

They might sell seperately later on, but they are not for now... Sucks, I know.. But they have a Sickly new redesigned Guitar too.

Yeah the guitar looks pretty sweet especially the tap section I wanna try that out, but I really hope they sell the drums soon if they don't I'll probably have to buy a used one or something.

PS does anyone have any news on this game for the 360 or Wii any defects in compatibility or something that happened like with the PS3

ok so here it is
the game play is a lot of fun. they made it really easy to unlock all the songs i think. and ya. but there is some problems with the drums. they are a little funky. and bout the slide section of the guitar, its ok. but its hard to like go to it in the middle of the song. so ya. that is kinda rough but than the slide notes just become hammer ons and stuff and u never have to strum. overall though its a great game

I found the game a tad disappointing. The characters look terrible, "Hot For Teacher" is too hard (j/k), most of the songs are just boring, and the set list was pretty bad in it self IMO. I mean stranglehold just felt like it took an eternity. I mean sure it has BYOB, Crazy Train, the wind cries mary, purple haze, and hot for teacher as well as a few other good songs, but I think the set list coulda been better. The guitar also makes this squeeky sound when I strum fast. However I like GHtunes a lot this is my final opinion on GHWT vs RB2

GHWT: 6.5/10
RB2: 8/10

my final statement, Ted Nugent sux

I agree about the amount of good songs on the GHWT disc. There are maybe 10 songs I like to play on it and that is about it. I am hoping they do release good DLC for it or I am gonna be super mad. The drums are still killing me. I can play the RB drums and 5 star songs on expert, I play the same song on GHWT on hard and only get 4 stars because I am just not used to the orange being the crash cymbal.

Is it me or has anyone else noticed the songs on GHWT are easier to play than on RB? I am comparing the songs that are on both. Like, for example, Living On A Prayer, RB has way more notes than GHWT. The whole main part it is missing 2-3 notes per sequence compared to RB. On easy and medium, this is expected, but on hard and expert, you should have a note press for every note in the song. The only thing that separated expert from hard was the speed and the number of notes within a chord.

I am not dissing GHWT, but I do like RB2 way better. I even got the AC/DC Live track pack game for RB and I love it. I do have ALL of the drums you can get for both games. I have the ION Drumrocker, RB2 Wireless Drums with a set of 3 MadCatz cymbals, and the GHWT drums. I rarely even play the GHWT drums now because of the difficulty with the orange cymbal and the pedal is too mushy to press.

Just my opinion.

Yeah, that's one thing RB has over Guitar Hero.... They have Awesome exclusives (AC/DC)!

And I truely like their songs better, well I love GH3's Track, they had all the most awesome Classic Rock. But RB2's Tracks out do GH4 here.

Well, the Wii has DLC now, and I doubt they're going through all the trouble for nothing. They've got plans, and the only reason we haven't already seen DLC is probably them addressing he Instruments issue. I'm sure all of you know this, but we'll be getting the Death Magnetic album by Metallica for DLC soon, which is on top of my list next to anything classic rock.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Oh, and about the Notes. Well, as you may know, they added open strums to the Bass Guitar on GH4. Bass Guitar isn't the only Guitar that open strums, Lead Guitar does too. So, I'm willing to bet RB gave a few open strummed notes a colored button to press down whilst GH felt like they should just leave them out. I think GH should add open strums to the Lead Guitar too, that would make it way more challenging and fun in my opinion.

Are you talking solely about DLC for GHWT on the Wii platform? I ask because Death Magnetic is a DLC already on Xbox 360 for both GH3 and GHWT. There is also already a few track packs for DLC on GHWT. I have already downloaded the first one and did it the day I got the game, which included Foreigner, Rick Springfield, and Boston songs.

Well, I don't have the game yet.. I just knew we were getting it sometime after the Release, I wasn't sure when. So it's probably out.

Spoiler warning.

My favorite scene in the game comes at the end of the Times Square performance when the band jumps off the Macy's bulding supposedly to their deaths. I found it a morbidly humorous way to end the career mode. Presumably the band doesn't die, but gets taken to Asgard (heaven) safe and sound. That was a nice touch.

I also found that slightly weird/funny to see me and the band jump off the building. XD

Well, I stoped by Wal-mart yesterday with my mom and did some shopping, went to go see if they any ban kits in stock just for kicks since I wont be getting for a couple more weeks. I didn't see 1 band kit, not even an empty place to put them...

It's gonna give me the run around town this time too...:nonono:
When are these stores going to relize that this is a very popular game and they need to stock up on them? I heard a guy didn't pre-order, went to game stop and they only had only ordered 2 band kits and they were reserved.
