Gundam Seed - How many episodes are there?

I have been recording the various Gundam series as they air on Cartoon Network. Unfortunately, I missed the Gundam Seed episode #Phase-05 on Saturday night and now I have to wait until it comes back around again (unless someone in SoCal still has it so I can make a copy of it ). But how long is that gonna be??

Does anyone know how many episodes are there in the Gundam Seed series?

Drat! I was afraid of that. Looks like I'll just have to record 25min approx. of static as a placeholder until then.

Actually, Kidou Senshi Gundam SEED has 50 episodes. (as you can see here , please note that the pictures might be spoilers)

After that there have been at least two specials aired so far:

Beyond the Stars: a post-Seed special, telling you what happened with the characters.

The Empty Battlefield: part one has been aired, it is a recap special with added footage.
The first one covers the first 12-13 episodes.
