Ok, you really need to run 4 roseanne. I ran this deck for a few cities and the key is to get set up FAST. having a roseanne in your starting hand easily saves you a turn of setup. Also, 4 sableye is a must since hes really the only acceptable starter in the deck. Also, I recommend running special darks and warp energies. Warp energies get you out of gliscor lock, which otherwise tears this apart.

-1 luxury ball
-1 solrock
-1 lunatone (you wont want to waste bench space on these, run regiice instead).
+1 regiice (he even gets spritomb out of there and discards those karps 2x as fast).
+2 roseanne
-1 VS seeker
-1 bucks
-2 basic dark (keep 1 so you can roseanne for it if its not prized. sometimes you can donk this way)
+4 dark energies, special (you will be surprised how effective sableye is at donking).

ok, I also think that 2 bebes and 4 pkmn traders is overkill.
-2 traders (keep the bebes since spiritomb can block traders. also sableye can search for them for you).
+2 warp energies.
NOTE: you want moer than 3 energies for when you come across mr.mime. There isnt too much you can do but charge up a gyarados once your opponent has 2 mr.mimes in play.

finally: we still need room for that last sableye. I think you can get away with 1 less BTS.
cheers, its 2am, time for sleep.

Lose 1 of the luxury balls, 2 is a waste of deck space and if one is in your discard pile you cannot use the one in your hand and the one becomes a waste of a draw.

And what are traders?

Im sorry, I meant collector. Its that HG/SS card that is essentially a reprint of base set pkmn trader so thats what Ive been calling it.

Also, yes you can discard luxury ball with felicitys but that really isnt important. That luxury ball is still dead space in the deck that is best used for something else.

Yeah its good to discard with solatone but if i get rid of that i can get rid of solatone i can get rid of 1 lux ball

I agree with most of A A/M's changes. I definitely prefer Regice over Solrock/Lunatone. You don't have much draw so you need to squeeze in Claydol or at least a Uxie. I would leave out some special dark to put in a 1-1 Claydol or an Uxie.

You really need more than just 4 energy. when I built my first Gyrados deck I ran only 4 energies, and it didn't work out very well...
I suggest you have 4 Call energy in the deck, and that should make up half of your total amount of energy.

play regice and 2 lux is my pesonal preference in any deck use 1 and put the other on the bottom if you ever do see it...take out the bux and the seeker and only use a single bat with 2 turns or keep them or play luxray but if you decide this eliminate the sableye and a felicities.

Play zero Darks. Trying to donk with sableye is not only a waste of time but also counter-productive to your deck. Instead pla a couple(2-3) Cyclone and 4 call so that your deck is consistent and you can get rid of pokemon you can't one shot. Additionally add some sort of repeat draw engine like a claydol or an uxie that you can scoop-up. Get rid of the buck's, pluspowers and Roseanne's you won't need any buck's since you'll be running felicity's and you won't need Roseanne's since you run zero basic energy. Also the pluspowers are a waste of space. Gyarados doesn't need them to win.

"Play zero darks. Trying to donk with Sableye is not only a waste of time but also counter productive to your deck."

Suicide: I'll admit- it's true that you will almost NEVER donk with Sableye if you have only 2 or 3 basic dark energies. The thing is:
- You will at least have a CHANCE donking with Sableye if you have some dark energies in your deck.
- And Cyclone energy isn't searchable (neither is Call energy, but Call energy is MUCH more useful than Cyclone Energy). Darkness energy, on the other hand, is searchable. You can use Roseanne to get a dark energy to retreat your active Sableye/Lunatone/other, whereas you have to hope that you draw into Cyclone Energy, because if you don't then your plans may be completely ruined, and may end up in your opponent getting a Prize, or possibly even winning the game.

My point is, you HAVE to have basic dark energy in this deck.

The fact that you want the ability to go for the sableye donk is why you will lose. More importantly though is that a Sableye donk will only occur on your first turn which for you will be most of the time, since you start with Sableye. That means that regardless of who wins the flip you go first thus preventing yourself from using a supporter of any kind. Also with the amount of dark in the deck (2) it is very unlikely that either one of those energies will be in your hand. Additionally if your worried about retreating just play an unown Q that you can equip to sableye or any other active that has a one retreat cost.

The fact of the matter is that your deck should be concerned about getting an active gyarados ready because not doing so will only impede your game. This is especially true since the percentage of times you get the donk is so small that the amount of times you do get it will be less than the amount of times it helps you to get ahead in a tournament. More than likely you will land these donks against decks that are unprepared for it (which aren't many) and then later in the tournament you will lose to more experienced players because you didn't build a more consistent list.

However by playing Cyclone Energy you allow yourself to gust away a high HP pokemon that more than likely will get you a crucial prize. Also Call energy is for consistency issues so that you can prevent yourself from being donked.

I love your Gyrados. But there is a flaw; Poltergeist. You (understandable) have way to many trainer cards that get backed up, either because you play cards that can't be played after the first ( BTS, Luxury Ball, Expert Belt, supporters) and cards that you try and save for later when they become more useful ( Super Scoop Up, Poke Turn, Plus Powers, and Pokemon Rescue) meaning that Poltergeist will OHKO your active Gyrados almost 70% of the time. I would suggest Regice because of this (the odds are pretty good you will dump 2x trainers with Falicity's and get 3 or 4 more). Cursed Gengar on the other hand isn't such a problem with less fainting spells and poltergeist and they can never get charged up in time before you sweep.

Another flaw is Shuppet. The reason I don't give any advice here is because you'll end up loosing in the longrun. Mr.Mime stalls you out while they can get enough Plus Powers (which isn't long) stored up in there hand to 2HKO (sending all thoughs energys to the discard, leaving Mr.Mime impervious to damage the whole game). Once they do knock you out, they can send up Spiritomb which blocks alot of trainers, but Pokemon Rescue being the most vital. Not even warp point helps you, but if you do want a stable way around this then go ahead and switch something for a Regice LA.

And finally, add 1 or more of these techs. They fit in too good with Gyrados to not consider:

1x Chansey
1x Prime Blissy
(Power Sprayable, but is effective with SSU)

:Or:

1x Luxray
1x Luxray Lv.X
(Gives more use to PokeTurns)

I hope I've helped.
