I think haxours will be used a lot in the next format. But i would also run it with the dragon type altaria to make haxours better against none plasma pokemon. And of course the fight metal water and electric energy will be real good while attached to haxours. You can use pokemon catcher and just take out a dexoyes or any other plasma pokemon and take two prize or one prize card. You can even attach silver mirror on to him to stop damage done by team plasma pokemon or silver bangle to do thirty more damage to an ex pokemon.

Haxorus – Dragon – HP140
Stage 2 – Evolves from Fraxure

[M] Dragon Axe: 40x damage. This attack does 40 damage times the number of [M] Energy attached to this Pokemon.
[F][M] Master Blow: If the Defending Pokemon is a Team Plasma Pokemon, it is Knocked Out.

Weakness: Dragon (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

Altaria – Dragon – HP70
Stage 1 – Evolves from Swablu

Ability: Battle Song
As long as this Pokemon is in play, your Dragon-type Pokemon’s attacks do an additional 20 damage to any Active Pokemon.

[W][M][C] Glide: 40 damage.

Weakness: Dragon (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

I think Dragon Axe is where it's at with Haxorus. 40 damage per energy when most pokemon average 30 per energy at their final stage. Just load it up with metal energy, etherdex for acceleration, and EXP share to conserve energy.

I doubt it will be anything big or format breaking, but like plasma beartic and crobat, it's intriguing enough to give it a try on PTCGO.

Yep. OHKO EXs for [M][M][M][M] + Bangle. Seems legit.

I don't think Haxorus will do anything big to the meta. As a stage 2, I think it takes too much dedication to set up for its effect. Auto-KOing Plasma Pokemon is cool and stuff, but it's horrible against non Plasma Pokemon. The 40x attack is impractical against non-Plasma EXs, and there are better ways to deal with non-EXs. As for plasma Pokemon, Genesect/Virizion has Genesect, which could be game winning for Hax, but the Hax player would need to have three attacks with a stage two against Genesects. That means multiple Haxorus, which I think would be impractical because of other matchups. Darkrai has Absol, but can function perfectly well without benching a single Absol. Blastoise has no Plasma Pokemon that I can think of. TDK goes down hard to Champ Strike, but I doubt it's worth it for a deck to be running consistent lines for a stage two that is useless in some matchups, and game winning in only one or two.

This card seems really good but I am not buying Pokemon any more
Hope someone at my league will get it then I can trade for it
Total plasma wipeout

Seems like a good card in a Garbodor deck to tech in

It'll be toyed with for sure. Maybe with the Cradily card from the same set (with will also see a fair bit of toying with).

To be honest, Haxorus is a good card. 40 per energy is a great ratio, and OHKOing any Plasma Pokémon is more than just a nice bonus.

The problems are:
1) It is a stage 2 without an ability. There hasn't been any stage 2 w/o ability that was at least semi-viable during the whole BW block metagame (Garchomp DRX kind of got an ability, it was just on its pre-evolution). Not because all of these cards were bad (actually Gallade, for example, is pretty good) but because the format sadly is just too unfavorable against stage 2s that just attack.
2) There's no good energy acceleration for metal. Etherdex engine doesn't fit into a stage 2 deck.

I think we will see some Haxorus decks in the tier 2 rogue spots that may do well, but I don't think it will become tier 1 or mainstream meta.

Unless they're suddenly reprinting Holon's Castform... no. The energy line will make this impossible.

Exp. Share is your Energy Accleration.

Exp Share doesn't excel energy it just maintains them. The difference being A) Your board presence and B) Your early game and C) Your reliance on your own Pokemon being knocked out, while being your active Pokemon.

Exp Share really isnt great, and completely inferior to Thundurus/Dark Patch and Blastoise.
