Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Heart Gold Soul Silver: Unleashed - A let down?

You can get a Legend out in one turn by using Bebe's Search and Luxury Ball but if your lucky you should be able to get them out.

It's even faster.

BeBe ==> Luxury Ball == > Pokemon Communication

That's enough to get anything out.

If you REALLY want to go turbo with it...

BeBe ==> Luxury Ball == > Pokemon Communication ==> PokeBall

It's very unlikely to whiff if you deck all of that.

GengrPwns ? ==> where you been man?

The problem isnt getting the legend out. You will usually draw into one part and Communication/Luxury/Bebe for the other. However, there doesnt seem to be any deck that could support them and be competitive. The obvious would include Typhlosion Prime (which would be a beast if there wasnt so many 0-1 energy attacks) and Magnezone.

btw. a nice TeCH to power up Entei/Raikou in one turn could be an Energy Switch.

PokeBall eek is right :) It's super easy to get Legends out in a Communication-heavy deck. Heck, Magnezone SF could always search Entei/Raikou out too. Return of Magnezone??? Probably not, but it's still a pretty fun deck.

Beedril looks like fun. Expert Belt and [G]...

1 Heads: 70
2 Heads: 120

But very flippy. I like the free retreat.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

can't anyone see the potential of BLASTOISE with gatr? Mintage and rare candy

I love this. Even with Floatzel it would be cool. Who cares about Luxchomp I wanna have FUN.

Just wanted to point out to everyone that this isn't the first time a set was released outside of Japan with a disturbing cut to some of the better, game-changing cards out there. Check out this thread I posted over two years ago. Just like then, some of the best cards from Unleashed were cut for a later set. We missed out on Call Energy, Bronzong, and Phione then just like we're missing out on Leafeon, Vileplume, etc. now. There were also promotional Lv.X's at the time that were not being released (Garchomp Lv.X, Porygon-Z Lv.X), much like our Raichu and Slowking Prime right now. Of course, it can be argued whether the Raichu and Slowking Prime are even that good, but still.

I'm not surprised at this move, and I know that a lot of it comes down to money, but it's frustrating to think that the only reason a card like Vileplume won't be slowing down LuxChomp at Nationals this year is because of a business maneuver. Like someone said before, only about 10% of our most recent sets are even playable anymore, so it's just frustrating to watch cards like Vileplume, Leafeon, Scizor Prime, etc. get axed.

Another thing that's troubling is that Unleashed is the last set before Nationals. With the given cuts, it looks like we'll see a lot more of the same stuff as we did at both Regionals AND States. Stale format for the loss... :nonono:...

yea....floatzel is probably a better combo with stoise than ferligatr

I was thinking the same thing... Floatzel and Blastoise would be a superior combo. IF it weren't so susceptible to Power Spray, special conditions and the Floatzels weren't one-hit by Raikou/Entei or Garchomp C. Feraligatr/Blastoise laughs at such obstacles, although it is a little slower.

That said... cards no one is talking about but maybe should be:

Manaphy is the new Chatot. Not AS good, but it can be played in any deck, refreshes your hand, and has no retreat cost.
Ninetales is really nice... except that the previous set's Ninetales is so much more essential in a fire deck that you probably wouldn't want to play it. I might play one in conjunction with the Roast Reveal one for the combination of energy acceleration and draw.
Roserade is quite interesting. I'll probably put it in an Ariados deck before the rotation.
Good Rod, I think, will be in a lot of winning decks. Hmm... on second thought, it'll be in as many decks as Marley's Request. I'd probably use it in my Rhyperior deck at least. I'd say Tyranitar decks (anything that mills your own deck) would be wise to use it too.
Stantler may find its way into being the starting Pokemon of choice for some people.

No. We're NOT done here.

The guy just gave his opinion and you just SLAMMED him!!

You didn't address the topic at all; you simply went right after the PERSON.

We're not encouraging that sort of behavior. You can read the rest of my response in your PM box.
