Hello! I'm totally new to TCG (I'm an old player of Yugioh), beginning the pokemon tcg since 2-3 weeks. I got recently a Gengar Prime, and I totally like his crazy gameplay, aka win with Lost World. I tried a deck, but I'm not sure if it's the best, can you help me? I'm not sure what format I use, I play TCG online. Here is the deck:

Pokemon: 26
4x Gastly
3x Haunter
3x Gengar
3x Smeargle
1x Spiritomb
1x Mew Prime
2x Mr.Mime Jr
2x Oddish
1x Gloom
2x VilePlume
2x Slowpoke
2x Slowking

Energy: 11
9x Psychic
2x Rescue Energy

Items: 10
1x GreatBall
1x Junk Arm
1x Pokemon Catcher
2x Pokemon Communication
1x Super Scoop Up
1x Switch
3x Rare Candy

Supporters: 11
3x Cheren
3x Pokemon Collector
3x Seeker
2x Twins

Stadiums: 2
2x Lost World

My aim is to win with 6 opponents cards in the lost zone. I take Gengar for his amazing job, Mew prime to use Gengar attack without evolutions needs if it's on the lost zone, Mr.Mime Jr is amazing with his ability, helping a lot Gengar to do his job, slowking is here in combination of Mime Jr.

Only one spiritomb, it helps when opponent doesn't have monster in his hand when I have my Gengar on the field, Smeargle is here to setup Gengar + use opponent cards I really like it, and I choose Vileplume to counter my opponent setup.

For items, I prefere a luxeball but don't have it, switched by great ball, Junk arm is here to counterpick other Lostgar deck, other items are here to help Gengar.

My supporters cards are really important, Cheren to get a good hand, Pokemon collector to get slowpoke/Gastly/oddish in one time, Seeker to allow Gengar's attack to get more effective, and Twins cause this card is super effective with this style of deck gameplay.

Sorry for my english (I'm stranger), and thanks for your help!

You're pretty good for just starting! You already knew to add collector. However, I would recommend one of two routes:
Straight LostGar (Gengar x3 Mew x4 and some more room for T/S/S)
Disruption Variant (preferred--Mimejr x4, no psychic energy, 4 rescue energy, Vileplume x2, Hypno HGSS {causes sleep with PokePower} and slowking)

I played against a straight lostgar yesterday online. I crushed it twice. When I played the Disruption Variant, it got 5 pokemon in the lost zone, then I won.
If you'd like I could send you my Disruption list!

I prefere to play Gengar because it's one of my favourite pokemon, + it's really strong. ^^

4x Mew Prime if I play a lostgar deck? oO

Also like I said, I want to continue with Gengar, but I'm interested to see your Disruption list cause I'm curious. Do you think I need to add Hypno in my deck? (never thinking about it)

If you want to use gengar I would say you would need pokemon lines something like this

3-1-3 - Gengar Prime
4 - Mew Prime
2 - Spiritomb
2 - Mr Mime

The idea is to start with Mew Prime, See off a gengar turn 1 so you can start hurling with Mew as of turn 2. You can then start building a gengar while hurling with mew's

Mr Mime - to see there hand
Spiritomb - To refresh there hand if there is no pokmon in there

Now this is abit more "straight lostgar" I tried this as soon as HGSS-on was the format as I LOVE gengar (Played Vilegar, cursegar, mothergar) and I found it...**** to be perfectly honest lol...

Then I tried it like this

3-1-3 Gengar Prime
3 Mew Prime
3 Mime Jr
2 Spiritomb
2 Mr Mime
2-2 Slowking
1 Cleffa

This worked well for me for awhile till I turned it into a mewbox when I got my yanmega's...

Basiclly same idea, hurl gengar first turn, start hurling there pokemon turn 2 on, but also you can combo slowking (Lets you look at top 3 cards of there deck) with Mime Jr (top card of there deck into LZ) to get hurls!

Basiclly you can check there hand
Spiritomb
Check there hand (I always played down to Mime's)
Second sight
And then save your seeker incase all else fails...

I won ALOT of games with this, I gave up on it when catcher came out as everyone would just catcher slowking X_X if you do go with this build, add switch you should be running 3 - 4 Twins anyway as you will always be down on prizes and can search for switch this way

Thanks for your advice!

Actually, I'm thinking about Re-arrange my Lostgar deck without Mew Prime, what do you think, could it be effective? Just try to paralyse my opponent with VilePlume/Smeargle or Mime Jr/Slowking, and sweep with Gengar (maybe add an Hypno for extra sleeping)

Also for my actual deck, what do you think about my items? I'm thinking at this:

Great ball -1
Cheren -1

Twins +1
Switch +1 ?

Bump :/

I actually don't have 4 mew prime, I need to know if it's essential to get it or if my deck could sucess with only one. ^^'
