Noctowl
The Owl Pokémon Noctowl (8/123) stares out into the night sky, pondering its next move. And you'll be all the wiser with this Stage 1 Pokémon in your deck, too! Noctowl can use its Night Sight Poké-Power to let you draw an extra card every turn, giving you an additional opportunity to get just that card you're looking for. And in battle, Noctowl’s Extrasensory attack does 40 damage plus 40 more damage if you and your opponent have the same number of cards in your hand. So, rely on Night Sight to match your opponent's hand, and then let Noctowl deliver an 80-damage blow!
 
this could be good but i can't see it being played much. who knows though. o_- it's one of the most beautiful cards iv'e seen in a really long time.
 
It would have been a better card if the retreat cost was free. Noctowl is better in a 30 card format.
I love the artwork.
 
Looks great, but like the Prime pokemon, the energy symbols are bloated and makes it look fake...
 
Next think you know the fake cards will be normal looking lol
Also I need to get 100 of these at the pre-release

10 more HP. Due to that, it makes the opponent waste a Crobat on it if they're sniping the bench. Sure, it has a retreat cost of 1, but it's as dead as Dodrio is if it gets dragged up. Furthermore, Noctowl has a rather decent attack that can be played around with using Copycat.

Anyways, I can get used to the new card format if it means that we get art like this.

4 DCE
2 Expert belt
4 Copycat
SO GOOD!!

Also the new art is AWESOME!!
 
Haha, Noctowl deck. I was wondering if someone would think of it. Maybe Mesprit for PLOX + Extrasensory?

Love the artwork on this card and the design in general. Makes me wish I was going to be playing longer...

On topic, the card art is great, but I do not like the new symbols. I can deal with the font, but the symbols are super fake looking.

I orginally hoped that Noctowl would have Quick Search because I wanted a card to beat Claydol or in other terms, a card that could help decks after Claydol

Noctowl is actually not bad. He's better than Dodrio, with higher HP and a better attack. The artwork looks plainly awesome too!

Unfortunetly, Claydol will outclass it for now until it is rotated. Luxray takes him down, but he'll probably be good in prerelease at least.
 
Lol like everyone else said, The art work is pretty good,(much better than what i've seen on other cards). But those energy symbols are pretty weird looking.. o_O? Although we have yet to see them in person, I'm sure it won't take that long to get used to! ^_^
 
I still hate those bloated energy symbols. Makes fake spotting that much harder when I can't just look at the energy symbols. This card isn't bad, though. Not quite a Claydol replacement, but could be pretty decent on its own.
 
So, the energy symbols in the attacks have been the same since EX Ruby/Sapphire.

In the sets previous to this, the energy symbols are as shown in the HGSS set.

This makes sense since these are "Legendary" sets so a throw back to the previous energy symbol makes it kind of cool.

It's all about perspective...
