I don't care if Catcher centralizes the meta.
Anything is seriously better than this crap. :/
If you've played the 100+ games I have thus far, you'd agree.

i've played probably 200+ games and I disagree.

True.. unless you count Base2 and Double Gust and Luxray GL LV. X and a few others. It's been reprinted many times; it just hasn't kept the exact same form. The results have always been the same though.

all of those cards are more balanced than gust of wind. none of those are reprints.

Lost World, you have to build a deck around for it to work

Catcher can be put into any deck, it ruins decks that require support Pokemon. Also, you could hypothetically run something really powerful (like TTtar, Steelix, etc) and your opponent could ignore it, take all 6 prizes with catchering up weak stuff off the bench. Building up something powerful wouldn't matter.

I can't speak for the base set days but all of the pokemon were more or less balance. Having attack that were 3 for 40 and 4 for like 60 was a standard. Sure you had a few pokemon that hit hard but the damage to hp ratio was good so playing a gow was not that bad because you might not be taking a prize but trying to get something weak enough for a ko if not ko. Now we have basic that can hit turn 1 for 120 with huge hp and pokes that can hit 60+ with 1 energy in a format with basics with 60 hp. The problem is the hp to damage ratio and with catcher, it makes a lot of good decks unplayble. We should never tell anyone just don't play a card and catcher will do that by making most stage 2 decks unplayable.

I'm actually looking forward to Catcher as the effect is guaranteed and I don't have to worry about who is and who isn't hitting Reversal heads on tournament day.

There is always pokemon circulator ;)
People seem to be more inclined to run a flippy catcher than circulator. Plus, pokemon circulator could be completely useless if they have a second attacker on the bench. If that's a sarcastic wink, circulator needs to be run 4 in every deck. BCIF

I love the use of the word "unplayable" all over the place.

For something to be "unplayable", it would mean that not even the best player in the world could win a game with the deck. The deck is just so horrible that just the sight of it sends players into shock.

I really worry about certain new cards coming out making decks "unplayable" because, boy, we had it tough with sp dominance, but at least others were slightly playable. Dang, stage 2 decks being "unplayable"? I sure do like my Emboar and Magenzone deck.

You can't hypothetically ruin a tank with catcher. If that were the case, you luxchomp would gave ruined tanks. The worst matchup for luxchomp was steelix. Control your bench and make strategic sacrifices.

I don't think its so much that catcher is the problem as much as it is that catcher/junk arm make getting 6 cheap prizes too easy

You're right. I can say another word but during sp, eevee deck were playable but because of sp, they were unplayable. The deck was fast and could hit hard when played but even the best eevee player will have a hard time against luxchomp. All it takes is one element to make to make something unplayable. Catcher makes magnaboar unplayable. All it takes is is a catcher in a opening hand. You can play it if you want but you'll have a hard time against anything faster.

I feel as though PokeGym should have an "Official" Tier List, so newer players can get an idea of what decks are good out there.

Ya psychic energy rocks! But I think it's gonna be less useful when catcher is released.

Metagross, mismagius, and jirachi are the first to come to mind. Muk is also pretty good, best potential made possible with vileplume.
