Here's my other personal favorite deck that I've been working with ever since I started playing the Pokemon TCG. The name, if some haven't guessed, is a clever reference to a monster in the Final Fantasy series known as the Marlboro. Which has the dreaded Bad Breath attack that not only inflicts damage but can hit your characters with about EVERY status ailment in the respective games. So here's how I translate this deck to fit the Bad Breath theme. Inflict status ailments with Roserade's Energy Signal + Rainbow Energy. While the opponent is poisoned and confused Leafeon takes full advantage of Miasma Wind to deal 100 damage easily. Or if I use Espeon Prime and have Leafeon in the bench and I just so happen to be facing something like, lets say, Machamp Prime...SKADOOSH! 200 damage and instant KO! Tangela and Tangrowth are there for backup with Nutritional Support and do some hefty damage with Grind in case I need the muscle power there.

You can tell I'm rather passionate about this deck because its fun to use nowadays. I still feel like it needs something else. Anyone got any helpful suggestions? Here's the deck list:

POKEMON: 22
Stage 1: 10
2 : Tangrowth, CL-34
2 : Roserade, UL-23
2 : Espeon (Prime), UD-81
4 : Leafeon, UD-17
Basic: 12
2 : Unown, GS-54
4 : Eevee, UD-48
3 : Tangela, CL-72
3 : Roselia, UL-61

TRAINERS: 20
Trainers: 12
4 : Super Scoop Up, BW-103
4 : Pokemon Communication, BW-99
4 : Energy Exchanger, UD-73
Supporters: 8
2 : Professor Oak's New Theory, GS-101
4 : Seeker, TM-88
2 : Pokemon Collector, GS-97

ENERGY: 18
Special Energy: 4
4 : Rainbow Energy, GS-104
Basic Energy: 14
2 : Psychic Energy, BW-109
12 : Grass Energy, BW-105

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the Unown is the RETURN Unown. Its there because if I like to I'll pull energy back from Roserade and then use the energies all over again. Just a thought. =P

Rainbow only counts for a single energy, not two at a time. So you would have to pick what status effect you would want. Also, don't run 6 eeveelutions, it is wasting 2 spots. Run 3-1 with Espeon as a tech. Or maybe 2-2 with resuces.

-2 Leafeon (or -1 Espeon/-1 Leafeon)
- 4 rainbow energy
-2 Grass energy

+1 Collector
+3 Resuce energy
+2 Interview's Question (or Energy Search)
+ 2 Psychic energy

Rainbow does only count as 1 energy, but that energy counts as every type, so when the power checks to see what type of energy was attached it sees 2 types so both conditions are applied.

I wouldnt use Tangrowth lines, just try to focus on your Eevee ones.

you also wont want that many grass energy. 6-7 at most.

Torkoal UD could be used. when it is played to the bench you can flip a coin, if heads burn, and with 4 SSU and 4 Seeker you should be able to use it effectively.

-3-2 Tangrowth
-2 Unown
-6 :grass: energy

+3 Torkoal
+1 Umbreon UD (you can use this to hide behind if you see a strong :ppowr: :pbody: pokemon)
+2 Copycat
+2 Interviewer's Questions
+2 Revive/rescue energy
+3 :psychic: energy

Rainbow only counts for a single energy, not two at a time. So you would have to pick what status effect you would want.

Compendium Ruling:

Q. What happens if I attach a Rainbow Energy to Roserade with the "Energy Signal" Poke-POWER? Do I get to use both effects?
A. If the Energy card you attached provides all types (for example, Rainbow Energy), then both effects would trigger. Energy Signal would both Confuse and Poison the Defending Pokemon. (Sep 30, 2010 PUI Rules Team)

So yes, Rainbow would trigger both effects

And 3 Stage 1's seems like a bit much, I'd focus on one or another. If you like Roserade/Tangrowth, playing it with Shaymin would be a good fit to move a bunch of energies and one shot enemies with Grind

if u want to go all out hypno does the same as torkal but for sleep. put all 4 conditions to be hitting for 200 with 1 energy. lol

I wouldnt recoment hypno tho that would be too much.

The sleep condition would replace the confusion of Roserade, you can have Burn, Poison and either: sleep, confusuion or paralysis. Also just realised Torkoal was in UN not UD, and also remembered that Houndoom prime can be used for the Burn.

now your list is pretty chill and all, but how about

celebi prime -> Tangrowth til about 120 or whenever they kill celebi. then go nuts

Wow. So many awesome suggestions. I am pretty much leaning towards bring Houndoom Prime back into my deck because of the Poke-Power to make my opponent burned. And in case I zapped my opponent with the Roserade Energy Signal + Rainbow Energy I can push for a third status. I did do that in one of my original variations of Bad Breath. And yeah, I guess I got a little carried away with the Eeveeloutions. I was mainly thinking about having more of my main Pokemon in the deck so I have a better chance of drawing it out. So I complied a new list for Bad Breath so far based on all these suggestions. There are still some empty spots but now I have no idea what to decide on.

shouldn't need 16 energy. you needed more draw. this should be more consistant. 1-1 houndoom should be all you need, since it's not reliable and isn't completely necessary. try this out.

That does seem a little more consistent. I'll give it a try. Its only through trial and error that decks like this can be successful as well as creative. Thanks a bunch.
