They are availible in a box set at shops like Target. (Picture here)
It comes with 4 EX series boosters and a Trainer Kit 2 (Plusle & Minun). And that comes to a grand total of no modified legal cards in the whole thing. Is this a new record?:nonono: (Unless you count Energy Search and Potion in the TK or getting lucky with a reprinted card in a pack)
But on a good note, I'm liking that they are using the Rotom foil pattern on promos now.
 
Wow, thank god neither promo is worth playing. I can stay as far away from this horrible product as possible.
 
I'd totally play the Chimchar.... Though not enough to shell out for multiples of that +no modified cards...
 
well, the regi's at least. And they also used them on articuno/zapdos/moltres ex. I really liek it and think they should use it more often.
 
Yeah, as DM8 said, it was the Legendary Birds and the Regi ex's that had this treatment. It was awesome.
 
can't wait for them to show up...on eBay because there's no way I'm shelling out the $20+ these are likely to run.

Kinda funny the old Plusle Minun 2 player kit has a coin of Dialga which hadn't even been created yet when the trainer kit was originally released.

Depends. Like if a kid showed up at league and we were having a battle roads that day instead, and he couldn't play.

How hard would it have been to do older D/P cards, really?
 
...honestly I wish PCI would just take the old card sets and release store boxsets with JUST old cards which could be purchased for cheaper than the going rate of DP-on boosters. They shouldn't be mixing new and old, in my opinion. After all, they don't promote new and old with the modified format. Personally, I wish they'd round up all the old boosters and just make them available to Professors for points.

Or just...not print so many. XD

I also use older packs as additional prize support, fun giveaways, and for new players.
 
When I saw this, i laughed.
I agree that this would be a good present for Professor, and if they have some booster boxes left I would like to do some unlimited sealed tournaments. Old boxes are too expensive in my opinion.
