how exactly do you propose they counter mewtwo anyways =P? it's not like they're just going to throw in a psychic type or something...
 
oh. yes then i lose xD. if i didn't see that coming and attached an expert belt :/... if i was lucky and attached an unown G i could still live tho
 
return kill it lolz. and if were still talking about gliscor lock, this is a lot of turns where i can use trainers... i will have like 4 poketurn, energy gain, expert belt, and everything else up the wazoo. any damage yo did with gliscor is now GONE.
 
aw don't knock it til you try it =P. i have gotten that comment many times however. this isn't supposed to be run like that deck was.
 
That's got to be one of the best random-looking builds I've ever seen. I like the concept of versatility and the fact that most of the things you are are basics makes it easier to make things happen. Do you think Pokemon Communicator will help you when it comes out?
 
What a discussion! First of all, against most of the metagame decks this set up should work very well. But, I have to agree with JZiffra that we have been playing against some nasty decks here in Florida that would give yours a bit of trouble. I have seen Manectric use very effectively with Luxray GL Lv X to basically allow you to use Flash Impact on every turn without taking damage yourself. Electric Barrier is a PokeBody, so your Power Spray won't do you any good.

Flash Impact will OHKO Shuppet and Honchkrow G. I guess if you are teching this deck specifically for what is being played in your area it is a fantastic idea. My problem in Central Florida is that there are soooo many good decks that run a wide variety of set ups, it is very difficult to Tech for any specific metagame deck.

^against luxray there are many things i can do. i haven't seen many with manecteic however.. that would definitely be a harder matchup. toxicroak G promo works really well against luxray. KOing it in one shot while they usually can't return the KO. also shuppet that fades out into a MR. mime can't be KOed unless they bright look something. and even then i could power spray.

mewtwo also counters luxray very well. it can hit for 80 a turn each turn putting luxray in a tough spot, i can also just giga burn for 140 at any point in time.

Maybe I missed it, but what's with the name HoPe? I could see the "Ho" coming from Honchkrow G. What made you decide on the name?

I always like seeing how people put together their SP-Toolboxes. Nice job on fighting the meta. Good luck with your deck.
 
toxicroak G promo.... and mewtwo before they use lookers. or get starapter FB so lookers doesn't hurt you, and then spray the bright look so starapter doesn't die. toxi G promo again will win this easily.

i took out a luxury ball for it in my list. has helped a little bit.
 
Nice deck, this is a good example of metagame teching (don't sure is the correct term) but any way in my current metagame is complicated if not imposible to play it, way to much flygons and machamps... DONK or Gengar seems to work better...
 
this deck is perfect for flygon or machamp. machamp especially. they just can't really do anything against a guarded crobat and a shuppet with expert belt. unless they flip 4 heads on hurricane punch =P. flygon is harder but with starapter it should be pretty easy, i mean as long as they don't play machamp you don't even have to worry about G and you can just kill flygons with shuppet if you want to.

EDIT! i just won my third cities with this deck :p. proves its worth i guess

Good Job. You clearly know how to play your deck well, and have had sucsess. Congrats.

However, your matchups almost made me cry. You have a donk deck that has a reasonably low damage output. Therefore, flygon,nidoqueen,dusknoir, etc. is not your best matchup at all. Nidoqueen kills you, flygon puts insane pressure on you because you burn so many cards early game. If they play machamp? they will blow through you, even if you g in the right places

Palkia lock? No way is this fav. for you. Power lock ABSOLUTLY DESTROYS YOU for obvious reasons. Plus, mewtwo doesn't own palkia lock. Most run mewtwo counters like Dialga or ninetails and almosy ALL run Luxray gl, which helps mewtwo. Also, once you have mewtwo up, he can snipe your bench.

Sorry, I don't mean to be a critic. Congrats on all of those shuppet wins. Howd you pull those off? congrats. Nice article.
