HoPe?

I'm sure if you won a master's BR with a deck you made and had people calling it bad you would go nuts about how good the deck was. Eleki kept his cool, knowing that when played right hope can be good.
Also, are you a senior or a junior? Because a master would know that even a BR in a competitive metagame would be tough to win, especially for someone who just left the senior division.

'nuff sed.

At the end of the day (not for everyone) BR's are a tournament where you can run really fun rogue decks as the stakes aren't that high. You never get everyone playing tier 1 decks. So even though its a win, its a BR win, and maybe a few CC wins at least would convince me it's a competitive deck.

I'm in my last year of Seniors.

I know lots of Masters that would disagree with that.

Lol what I didn't go to worlds. Other than that correcto

Did I say worlds?

....Oops. I meant Nationals. But hey, you would of made T8 in worlds too. (or even better)

Deoxys Cool Form: Dude, hello! Havent you read everything else posted? Eleki got T12 at NATIONALS with HoPe.

Thats way more prestigous then BR's. I think this deck has already proven itself.

I don't mean to be a hater or anything (probably do but oh well lol) but if that was the case, he would have qualified for Worlds.

(Or did you get the invite but couldnt afford it?)

New format pal. The formats changed, the deck has lost a couple of cards (not a lot but still)

I wanna see how it does in this format.

So yeah, needs to re-prove itself.

Hahaha obviously it's doing well enough

Even in cities you don't see everyone running T1 decks.
I just don't feel you have a basis to say the deck isn't competitive when everyone is always talking about it, everyone knows what it is, and everyone knows who made it.
He has made a name for himself with the deck. Is that not enough?

I don't want to hate the deck either, but all the fanboy posts are making me reach for the sickbag. They really aren't needed it when the guy who built it (and his record) are capable of standing up for themselves.

It's a clever deck. It obviously works. I don't believe all of this 'only 3 people can play it' rubbish either. There's nothing mystical or secret about the deck and how it works.

I'm not a fanboy post I hope lol
I personally don't like the deck, I don't play it, and I believe there are better decks, but I do respect it.
I also dislike when people who have no reason to dis a deck or any showing of their own to build credibility to their opinion bash a deck.
I do believe everyone who wants to can play the deck, since it is basically about reading your matchups and playing accordingly.

That's all I have to say about that

@ SalamenceGreat

Oh ok then fair enough.

I know what its like, I've had two invites but haven't been able to afford it both times.

But more than a BR.

States then, or even Nats.

I never said it wasn't. I just want to be shown that it can. I haven't decided either way yet.

Sure he's made a name for himself. Good for him. But actually doing well in the current format, and winning lots is better, and I'm sure he'll agree.

So far so good for HoPe.

But now let's turn the heat up a bit and wait for bigger fish aka City's/States/Regs/Nats. The ones that are worth a lot more to win.

Im not a fanboy as you call it. I dont like SP decks of ANY kind.
But I will support him cause he is my friend. Thats all.

Yeah . . . that's kind of the point.

That kind of post actually hurts the case you are trying to make.

It means your biased/defensive of your chum, so no-one takes what you say seriously.

^Well, take it however you like, the facts still remain that HoPe is a great deck.
As you even said, his records support this. All Im doing is adding emphesis on that. lol

Don't put words into my mouth.

I said it was a clever deck that obviously works. I never said it was 'great'. It has a lot more major tournaments to win before I would use a word like that.

id say it was a pretty competitive BR considering i only played 1 non meta deck, and it had 30 something masters T4 cut. but whatever come states i will prove stuff.

taylor:
i got like T32. and yeah it was because of judges and bad luck. and yes i had invite (20th) but hawaii is like far away lol

^donphan u just toxic fang them, poketurn crobat and hit for 80 with blaze. lol like with garchomp/crobat in luxchomp except less energy discarding.

Considering I used that strategy at BRs recently and it worked just fine......

Though then again, I used Umbreon UD. It's a decent tech idea for this if you are willing to dedicate two spots - use Crobat to poison, then switch to Umbreon and Moonlight Fang repeatedly; the poison just speeds up the KO so it's optional.
