How can I get rid of Unown G?

I don't have much time, so I'll keep this to the point. I run Dusknoir, and Unown G hurts. So, is there any way to get rid of Unown G after it's been attached as a tool? Oh Windstorm, how I miss thee...

Pure direct damage is the only way. Assuming that they attach it to something benched with a power or body you can use Starmie to snipe or Poke Blower to gust it active.

what about the pachirisu that has call for family? its other attack discards pokemon tools and doesnt unknown g turn into a pokemon tool>

Nope the discarding of a tool is an effect of the attack and Unown G blocks that, (It would do 40 damage to it still, just no discard of the tool)

No, Unown G blocks Mismagius from discarding it.

Only way would be DP Dusknoir- shuffle it back in.

Dark Palm the poke it is attached to OR kill the poke it is attached to with damage. Only 2 ways right now. Windstorm would be nice!

Windstorm in this current format would be broken.

Dusknoir would be able to do insane things with Windstorm, and to a lesser extent cards like Gengar, Bronzong, Azelf, and such would as well. Stadium play would die if Windstorm was back. Why run stadiums and counter-stadiums if Windstorm is around? All in all the LACK of windstorm is one of the things keeping this format so dynamic so far IMHO.

^Make it Windstorm * then, only allow 1 per deck! LOL

I agree though, the lack of windstorm makes a few more decks viable. Stadium play is always a fun part of the game for me.

actually, windstorm would make dusknoir the same way it is now because people could just windstorm the dusky X away and it would go to discard pile instead of hand, it would make gengar nice though.

No, a Windstormed Dusknoir X STILL goes to the hand. Read the card.

Face it, it would make Gengar and Dusknoir the 2 best decks ever.

Dark Palm, fast and preemptive Power lockdown and KO the poke it's attached to with normal damage. Those are the only ways in this format that 'counter' it. I find G to be a bit broken though, but it guards against 'broken' cards such as Champ and Noir...

i am operating on the hope/assumption that there will eventually be a pokemon whose power when put into play is to discard all tools in play. that would be a reasonable unown g counter to add to the game.

Its called "Hippowdon Lv. X"

There is no way to directly lift the Unown G off of a Pokemon right now.

However, I suggest that you run something to make G more bearable for your Dusknoir. Contemptuous, foldy-arms Dusknoir (also known by uncool people at Dusknoir #17 SF) is a great alternative attacker when your opponent is heavily Guarded.

Uh, nope. Look at the rulings. (Assuming you mean the one that is out now). Electrivire X CAN get rid of your own G's, if you want it to. (Why would you though???)

Keith

I don't believe so. It explicitly says "discard all of your opponent's Pokemon Tool cards and Stadium cards in play."
