Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

How do 3 different decks consistently win?

On the magma vein, Profesa_Magma knew about it. I also had built a bad magma deck, over-emphasizing Zangoose.

different metagame for each age group, player skill and how the players play.

team magam won all of 2004 worlds age groups.

this guy has it right. I remember this year my team preparing the only Senior on our team that went to worlds for worlds, but we had to tweek his GG for a different Metegame. In my opinion and my experience Seniors and Juniors don't always play the big teched out strat decks like GG because they are younger. not calling them dumb but idk maybe they just don't have enough experience or they just dont think the same way. when i watched the senior player play his matches in playtesting, he made misplays that I would never dream of making or missed little details that were obvious to me and my other master friends. its just a different game in each age group, they think differently

There is a big difference between Seniors and Juniors. Metagame, and everything. Seniors was like Juniors about a year ago, but every year I see the Senior's metagame and decks becoming like Masters.

Fun fact:

I've talked with Japanese players about the rest of the world's admiration for the Magma sweep in '04, and they told me that the first people to play Magma actually were PCL themselves. When the expansion was brand new, PCL played the Magma deck at events, and then the players picked it up. :D

(PCL apparently had some sort of "challenge the PCL staff!" side event, where they used their Magma deck and beat up people's decks)

Wow, if it was really like that in the past (to my ignorance, lol), then how did Plox manage to NOT take at least 2 divisions??

You do realize there are a whole lot of factors to consider, including: luck, decklist, skill, matchups, etc. besides simply the deck's power itself? Do you know how many people in 10- or 11-14 played it? That could be a reason as well. There's no defnite answer.
