Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

How long does it take the MTs to answer a rulings question?

But why weren't the black star promos banned? 1-20 were simply rotated out because they had their two year release- a bunch of those promos were rereleased in league- but how about the Year 3 promos that just never came? Did you ban those?

MTM specifically mentioned the none availabilty in Europe of Promo's 1-20 as a reasons for banning them from Tourney Play. Just because cards were released at League was no guarantee that they were available worldwide!!

We tried to tell him that by the time they rotated out we could get them after WotC UK found a bunce in the warehouse and yes we campaigned against banning 1-20 and for banning yr 3.. even so Promos were and are available on ebay I have yet to see a Marill at all on there!

And latter Battlezone promos- did you ban those? How about Pokemon center, Lucky Stadium, Ho-oh, and Rapidash: there's no Pokemon Center in the UK (yet), I never heard any fuss over those.

Some thought please before ranting Centre was easily available in Base and Base 2 the promo was only a reprint same for Ho-Oh and Rapidash.. Lucky Stadium too for that matter ... but here we have a card that is ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE US... PERIOD

So I for one am campaigning to ban it from Tourney play it's a misprint that does give an opponent an advantage that is not available to all!

BTW Soslowpoke, If the UK print had any competative advantage I'd want it banned too. Hence my blushes over Pop's mention of a UK only Vulpix. I knew nothing about this Vulpix. Though it subsequently turned out that the misprint did not affect tournament play. This Marill appears to be the first time that this has occured in Pokémon's history. Up until now play misprints were left for all to enjoy.

This isn't a USA bash. But it speaks volumes that many would chose to believe that it is rather than just looking at it from a level-playing-field point of view.

Anyone like to trade some of their free-retreat Marils for some of my single retreat ones?

NoPoke...
IT would be a DRAFT option?

BUT the boosters you will be DRAFTING from will not have any to PULL.
QED A level playing field.
*Sorry, just trying to pull your leg here*

BTW. I don't agree that it is game-breaking. =/
Azumarril is quite cool tho...

Ukpokemonpro:

GO ahead. LOBBY to PUI that you want it BANned.
BUT YOU WILL NOT CONVINCE me.

SO please email them with this & leave us out of this circular debate spiraling nowhere.
No, I mean back to where we started.

Well who said it was game-breaking? certainly not me. It would be a dream draft card though.

My concern is that this sets a dangerous precedent. What happens when a more powerfull misprint occurs? As BDS(?) quipped on the old gym 'Ah look Ma, Babies first errata'.

If we are unable to persuade rabid tournament players that an unfair advantage is a bad thing then I expect that sportsmanship will slowly ebb from this game. Pity.

Sorry to get the attribution incorrect Pop. It was a great quip and stuck in my mind just obviously not well enough :(

Why don't you give the 'bad Marills' to WotC UK ? They could destroy them with the rest of their cards and make money on it thanks to the UK government.
You ask for an exchange coupon that you send to the USA and you'll receive a brand new free retreat Marill.
As simple as that

More seriously, do you realize the fun when the new sets will be translated in local languages, with the possible translations mistakes ?
