how long to hatch the bad egg on pokemon r/s?

People, people, people. It has been reported at various other message boards that a bad egg is an egg that is put into your PC after you type in a "Get a Pokemon in your PC" code incorrectly or do something to your game such as with catching Mew in R/B.

For example, say I want a Blastoise. I get out my handy dandy Action Replay, and type in the code to get one put into my PC. Oops, I typed in the code incorrectly and it isn't a code for another Pokemon. I start up my game, check my PC for the Blastoise, and oh, what's this? It is a Bad Egg. Lemme try to hatch it.

6 hours later.....

It's hatching! Oh wait, no, the game is freezing. My cartridge is totally messed up now. Haha, I'll just turn off the power and restart my game. What's this? How come it won't start? I know, it's because I have just corrupted my game.

Bottom line, don't hatch it.

Silver, I know it has a sprite, but it's not connected to the egg by default. When it appears, when the sprite has a dead link, the game deafults to using the egg sprite. Sorry bout the confusion there.

Water: Yeah, I know about that. I told you, before I hatched it, I hacked the game to see if i can find any pokémon with a dead EGG, CATCH, TRANSFER, and DEX. All of the original pokémon not included have a dead CATCH, that's it. It was very obvious when I found the bugged code, because it had no DEX data link, no EGG data (even pokémon that can't come in an egg have egg data), and obviously, no CATCH or TRANSFER.

Also, that kind of bad egg you referred to -- I'm going to look into that, as far as I know, you're referring to a different egg that is just basically a fault of the GS/AR engine.

Alright, I'm hacking TRANSFER to let it to let me trade. I'll let you know what happens.

It isn't if you've beaten the game like me. I got Jirachi and Deoxys from a friend for one of my shinning pokemon, so I wouldn't call that cheating. I think it was fair. I worked for all the 200 other pokemon.

Hacking is not cheating. You people have to understand that. Hacking games are used to find out mysterious things left in the game, or things that were from older versions of the game. Its because people trying to find out more, research, if you will.

Anyway, my theory is correct. It is, in fact, gastly. When I traded it, it evolved, and it had no attached items, unless you can find me a pokémon that evolves when you trade it and learns night shade...

Silver, you don't want to catch it, unless you know how to correctly link the data n stuff on the cart. I found it on the coast of Staleport.

seriously, the way its set up, it can seriously damage you're battery. Missingno is still the Über haxxor of teh batteries.

All missingno's screw up you're games, except for the lvl 168 golbat, lvl 255 voltorb, and possibly the nidorino. Missingno in itself, if caught, destroys the battery completely.
Snorlax and all of the other pokémon will slowly damage you're game, eventually destroying the battery.

Did anyone here ever catching missingno to get the infinite sixth item slot? XDXDXD
