How many Ex's in your box

The EX are 3 per box. I found this out Last week on Monday when I opened 4 boxes to make a full set. Since then I hafve opened up 2 more boxes and it has remained true. Also just in case anyone notice. The holo foil replaces your rare in the packs also in this set.

Ah, so you can't triple Rare anymore?

Oh well, that's ok. The Holo's have been a pain to get in the last two sets. I like the rarity scheme in this set better.

BTW: I pulled 2 Blaziken EX's yesterday and I rare-drafted a Suicune EX.

:D

Actually I , too, like this mix of EX to holo per box better. It puts the EX holo rarity on par with the Japanese counterpart.

It actually seems this is how it should have been all along. It has been a shame to pull more EXes than holos (proportionately) such that we wind up with lots more EXes on hand than holos for trading/deck-building.

I think I even like the idea that the holo replaces a rare, because we have been building up an excess of rares, versus a shortage of uncommons (esp. trainers).

[edit]THANKS, Weilemom, for the link to alamedyang's website!!! That's now bookmarked ;)[/edit]

Yeah, I got three (Cradily, Entei, and Suicune. Though, i did pull a raiuko(sp) from my 6 packs, and the guy across from me pulled cradily and sceptile from his 6.) There were only, like 4-5 blazi ex at my prerelease, i think. Sceptile and cradily seemed most common.

The one thing that make me sad with them changed how hard it is to get EX with this set is that most of the EX are really good and it would be nice to get enough for decks.

Personally, from a collector's point of view, I wish they were all easier to get, like the first printing of Ruby and Sapphire, I liked that because on average, I get 1 pack every now and then, and I like being able to get good cards more often than not.

I am glad they did this because Blaiken EX is so broken, so now people will have to buy 9 boxes to get 2 or trade, so it does benifit a collector.

I didn't win a box, but I got 2 ex's in 15 packs, so I feel fortunate. And they were good ones too! Blazzy ex and Suicune ex. My poor friend got 24 packs, and only got one ex, Cradily!

The whole set (minus the holos, EX's and reverse holo's) can be collected in one box, so from a collectors view, it is an easy set to collect. I completed mine already( minus a few holo's and EX's and Reverse holo's{ }) In about 58 packs.

Yes, I won some packs at my prerealease and finished the set, except for the holos, and rares and ex's, which is my personal problem with this rarity scheme, I'll be lucky to get more than 3 packs after the set is out for 2 weeks, hopefully I will get some more cards i need if I go to the second closest prerealease near me. :)

ex's deserve to be more rare, i didnt exactly like the "rarest" pokemon become hsiny trade bait that i had more of then their pre-evos (kabutops ex, yes?). I dont exactly enjoy not getting the best cards, but it gives much more fun in buying packs, and more incentive to actually win packs instead of buying off ebay.

That's the problem. In the current format if you don't have EXs your more than likely to get tossed around like a torn up rag doll. Without Exs there his no way to survive those heavy blows. Sometimes I think the EXs will and are killing Pokemon. Who's idea was it to create the EXs any ways. The game was good until they showed up. Before they showed up the game was about complicated tactics. Now it's all about beat down decks( points at Blziken).
