Deoxys Cool Form

New Member
Hi,
I just sniped a Zard ex for £17 and I wanted to make a deck involving Charizard ex. I only got into Pokemon op when DP was released so Any ideas?

Unlimited by the way:p

Heres what I can think of:

Garchomp lv.x

Blastoise ex

Blastoise SW

Togakiss

Thanks guys:p

Oh and Im not sure if this is the right forum so sorry if it is

While you are playing it, I would keep it in mint condition; as it is worth a lot of money. But I think the best way to play it is with base set Blastoise, or Blastoise EX.

Charzard Ex. An easy card to play-ish. Your only problem is getting the energy back so Charzard can attack more.
Go with Garchomp Lv. X. Good power, conveanyent attack, and if your playing a Colorless stlye deck use Sceptile SF. And if your playing in a free-reign enveronment, use Power Tree. I do agree with the prevous statment, Keep it in as good of condiont as possible, so when your old and are to busy to play anymore you can sell it for a pretty penny. I'm an American, obvouisly.

DCE rotates from Unlimited?

Boost and DCE. Togekiss only attach basic energies, Power Tree works only if there's no Special Energy in the discard. Ecogym is your play, with many SER and ER around, check this old rule:

Q. With Ecogym in play, would a Colorless Energy on Charizard that was Energy Burned to fire be returned to your hand if you attacked a Koga's Muk (Pokémon Power: Energy Drain) and he flipped a heads for the Pokémon Power?
A. Yes it would.

Source, Old Compendium.

Not only Ecogym, No Removal Gym too.

For a partner that gives you energy acceleration, i dont know, there's too many.

The problem is you got only one Char Ex right? So... playing it its very difficult. Use proxys if you can

DRE on a Pokemon Ex?

Anyway, the problem here is how to recicle the energy... not putting it on Charizard...

Altaria EX and Boost energy.
Altaria EX is the only energy accel I can think of off hand that works on Charizard ex.

Ok Ive decided Im playing it with Leafeon lv.x and Heatran lv.x so I can equip 2-3 energy from leafeon and get three back with heatran consistant 200:p

£17?!? AMAZING! Holy crap that is a special price.

I wish the damn thing wasn't so expensive just because it has the magic number on it's card. It seems that whenever anything has the 200 in either HP or attack base damage it's price is through the roof- Charizard ex (200 attack, price range around £50), Lugia ex (200 attack, price range upwards of £50) Wailord ex (200HP, I saw one on ebay go for £26 the other day which is amazing considering it's a horrible card) Mesprit Lv.X (200 Attack, around the £20+ price mark which is one of the priceier Lv.Xs available). Even the GE Wailord with 200HP goes for more than your average non holo rare (barring deck staples which always command a higher price than regular rares such as the pixies and Claydol).

I really want a Zard ex, simply for my collection, but the price range is waaay high. Maybe one day I'll save up and splash out, like if it's the last ex I need for my collection or something. Even the FireRed LeafGreen Boosters are at a highly inflated price range just because you have the mere sniff of a chance of owning a Charizard ex. Damn that number!
