Yeah uh, there's this Pokémon LJ community called Pokémonathon. The premise is to draw at least one Pokémon at least once every five days, starting from Bulbasaur and ending with Mew. I signed up for it as an excuse to make fakes again, mostly since I don't have to worry about it too much and it won't draw too many resources away from my other art projects. Anyways, here's the first two cards I've made.

The Missingno. is nothing special, it's basically just a remake of the first Missingno. card I made. Incidentally, I can't believe that the original Missingno. fake card is eight years old now.

The Bulbasaur, on the other hand, is a totally new creation. In fact, it's the first new fake I've made in about three years, not since Rocket's Articuno (see my sig). Imagine that!

Oh, and some of you young'ens might not recognize these blanks, but they're from when the Pokémon TCG first came out. I'm kickin' it old skool with these. I know nothing about the game after EX: FireRed/LeafGreen, so I have no clue about what kind of new fangled designs the game has now.

Actually, the first fake card I ever made was Missingno, and that what its attacks were.
 
They're brilliant. Best fakes I've seen for ages, possibly since I last looked at Fangking's (months and months ago).

The Ivysaur isn't that PG-13... because it isn't totally obvious, at least, not to people under 13 or so. :p

Great cards, I would love to see you do some DP or ex series style cards.

The flavor text came first, I got it straight from the DP Pokédex. The rest really was just inspired from that text. ;)

I don't know anything about them, nor do I have any blanks for them. I'll stick with old skool style.
 
Nick, as usual, you're art and ability as a Faker is amazing. I do have to ask: what fonts do you use. They're incredible.

And...I'm done.

Hey thanks! I obviously haven't lost my touch. ;) And the font I use is called Gill Sans; it is the official font used on all the cards. Well, at least when Wizards' did it. I dunno if Nintendo uses a different font or something.

Go to the Venusaur link, replace 003 with 002, and Venu with Ivy.

Loving the art on the Char line, although Charizard's attack seems a little tricky for most players. Charmander is nice though.
