Yeah, so the city was in Okemos MI, same place as MI States will be. It's only 25 minutes from home so I got there at 10:30 and only the TO, a judge, and 4 other people were there. At about 10:50, my friend Ricky got there. There's a 2nd floor with a balcony to look down onto people coming in. We found 4 corks up there, pretty sweet. We yelled down the balcony, then hid. Matt (n00bmuffin) got there and we had him going for like 2 minutes without him knowing where we were. We went down the elevator right when he went up the stairs, lol. Registration finally was done, and I was ready to go.

Round 1: Luke V. (Steelix/Blissey)
Sableye start, pretty sweet. I had the promo Dusknoir out T3 and just destroyed everything he had. I don't remember muck about that game. He got one heads with Steelix and killed Dusknoir LV. X, I took him out easy from there.

Round 2: Ricky L. (Tyranitar)
So, Ricky is mine and Matt's friend. Matt and I told him what we were playing, so he plays Tyranitar, just to beat us. He just beat Matt in Round 1 so I was wondering what would happen. I got another Sableye start. T3 Promo Dusknoir, and I started some spread. I did 50 to his Tyranitar (don't remember how) and the next turn, I used TM TS-2 to de-evolute his Candied Tyranitar and KO the Larvitar underneath. I did that 2 times in the game. He had to start stalling with Darkrai, and I just took him out.

Round 3: Aaron K. (Empoleon+More)
Sableye start, again. I was set up with Dusknoir DP and Claydol benched. I saw he had Duskull on the bench, and accidentally played a Duskull on the bench. He Candied to Dusknoir DP and Dark Palmed the Claydol. That was my demise pretty much. I held on for 10 minutes or so, and he took me out.

Round 4: Matt (n00bmuffin) (Duskzong)
This was really close. I got another Sableye start. I got some Dusknoir spread early, and some Bronzong MD using Coating for some easy 3 prizes, but he came back. Fast forward to about T15. The prizes were 2 left for him, 1 left for him. I had Dusknoir Lv. X with Dusknoir Promo under it. My bench was Claydol, Dusknoir DP, and Bronzong I believe. He had Dusknoir Lv. X as a stadium and Dusknoir #17 active, with the same bench as me, minus Dusknoir DP. He knocked out my Dusknoir Lv. X with nothing left to do and that did the last damage to his active Dusknoir. Great game.

The judge tells me, Aaron, and Ricky to get our decks ready because we were all 3-1. Drake was in because he was 4-0. 2 minutes after I get done with Round 4, the judge asks for my deck.
Top 2: Drake V. (Scizor/Cherrim)
Well, I'd say this is the biggest weakness of my deck. Of the 6 losses combined from Matt and I (identical decks pretty much), 4 of them were Scizor/Cherrim and the rest were mostly misplays/Unown G.
Game 1:
Well, yeah. Baltoy start, and energy drought after 2 energy were on my Dusknoir Promo. I scoop to save time. DEATH!!

Same as Game 1 except I actually attacked once with Dusknoir Promo. I only could use Sableye once and never got a Claydol either game...

Well, 2nd place was still the highest I've ever gotten in a tournament, and I got some luck at that venue for States in 3 months. Got 10 packs, Heatran Lv. X, Gengar, Dusknoir, and some other stuff. It's all up for trade on my trading thread, so check it out. Best Saturday I've spent in a month or so.
