PRIZES

What can I win? The prizes in each age group are as follows:
• 1st Place: 18 booster packs
• 2nd Place: 10 booster packs
• 3rd Place & 4th Place: 4 booster packs

What do I need to bring?
• Your Player ID
• A 60 card deck that conforms to the Modified format
• A completed deck list of all the cards in your deck
• A randomizer (coin) and damage counters
• Markers for Special Conditions

What if I don’t have a Player ID? If you don’t have a Player ID, the tournament organizer can give you one.

What is the tournament format?
The tournament will start with several rounds of Swiss play. In this format, players are matched against other players in their age group with records similar to theirs. Occasionally players may play outside their age group, should there be fewer than 6 players in each age group.

After several games of Swiss play, the players in each age group with the best records will enter a single elimination playoff. The number of players in the playoff depends on the number of players in the tournament in that age group.

What cards are legal?
Your deck must conform to the Modified Constructed guidelines. For complete rules see http://www.pokemon.com/us/organized-play/tournaments/

How long does the tournament last?
Typically the Swiss portion lasts between 3 and 4 hours. Playoffs may last an additional 3 hours. Lunch and dinner breaks, if provided will increase the length of the tournament.
(Thanks Terry Kamm for the outline!)

Quick question, how many people usually show up at the Ontario CC? I grew up there and didnt think they would have it. Just wondering how the crowds are?

I am sorry you can't come. Hopefully next year we won't have to change any dates! Have a great year and see at an event you can come to.

I won't be running the one on the 7th of January so I can only put the information out as i recieve it. Thanks all for your understanding
