There's not much in here that most of us don't already know. But it's good to see a gaming news juggernaut such as IGN posting articles about us, dontcha think?

Yeah, but they are alittle late to announcing it since its been out for days before they covered it.

Considering it's still in the "Open Beta" phase and still unfinished, I don't think it's a big issue that they are a few days behind on it.

True, but if you consider yourself a major news source it is best that you cover as close to the date the it was operational as possible

This is a review of the game, a review does not need to come out within hours of the game coming out, even days or weeks. Heck, i've seen reviews for games a few years old.

We should be happy that it's getting coverage in main stream media at all, let alone a positive review. The more players we have, the better off the game is for the future.

if the article writer didn't get access to the game until the beta went open, wouldn't it take some time for him/her to actually PLAY THE GAME and dig through all the features themself before writing the article?

what would have been the sense of writing up TCGO and publishing the article when it was still in closed beta, if the article readers would not have been able to access the game themselves without codes from the limited BW packs?

Open beta was open on the 17th of this month. I was referring to the open beta version of it. Anyway, lets move along

IGN tends to take about a week to even begin a review on MMOs. This is something similar. That there's even something positive being said about this game is a huge press bonus for the game.

While I am a fan of IGN, there are many community where it is not popular. Beside I never said it was a bad thing that it was being covered by a major source.

There is a picture on that article of a Bayleef using Razor Leaf on a Roselia...but the Roselia is from Stormfront. Are there pre-HGSS cards in TCGO after all? Did I miss them during closed beta? Or are they just now implemented as of open beta?
