i was wondering if anyone can help me im new i have not played pokemon in along time i still have all the baset and junggle cards thats about . some one told me that dose cards were band can some one help me get back into the game and tell me tha band list and let me know what deck i should get

and do i have 2 starr all over again by buying all the cards? how much r the cards now days?
plzz let me know everything about pokemon now days i was a realy good player back in the days i won acouple or tourneys along time ago plzz people help me out and ill help u out in n e ways i can thanks everyone for ur time and hope 2 see u guys around maybe
 
first of all... PLEEEEEEEEEEASE stop using chat speak!! O.O *dies* ok well you don't need to but it irks me when people do. :p

Jungle and Base set are rotated out... and they have been for some time. The current modified sets are... oh gosh:

Deoxys
Emerald
Unseen Forces
Delta Species
Legend Maker
Holon Phantoms and
Crystal Guardians.

Theres also going to be Dragon Fronteirs in October. here's a good place to see the current cards. Theres card lists and scans on the left. click on EX series sets and there are the sets. (Team Rocket Returns and down is rotated out. we'll miss you draggy!)
 
There are currently 2 formats that you can play under - Unlimited which allows every card except Ancient Mew to be played. The other, more popular format is Modified Format which is used for Premier events. This format allows cards from the past few sets to be played. On Sept 1, the Modified Format was changed to be Deoxys on up. Here's a list of what is in the Modified Format.

What deck you get is totally up to you. Try reading what has been posted in the Deck Forum for some ideas.

Will you have to start all over? Probably. Packs are $3.49 MSR but i'm sure you can shop around and get them cheaper.
 
To add to BJJ's comment, if you buy a box of Crystal Guardians (which is the latest set) you'll probably find a few good cards you can use, and if not, you'll have lots of trade fodder for the ones you need. In that way you can get the packs for cheaper than the suggested retail price.
 
thanks guys for the help u guys helped alot do u think it will b hard to start now and is their n e regionals in cali ? one question u can use the old energys right and u can also use the old switch right ? as long as their in the new packs right ? lol thanks again guys
 
If you want to build decks, I'd recommend Delta Species and Holon Phantoms booster boxes. They have a lot of important trainers and the "base" for several decks like MetaNite and RaichuEggs. Delta Species is the strongest of those IMO. Buying random boosters from legal sets won't get you much as far as deck-building goes.

Also remember that there are good decks that cost little to acheive and there are good decks that costs a fortune. LunaRock might be the cheapest deck around and it's still usable (It just won the World Championship in the 11-14 group).

Stay clear of Emerald, that series is not worth much when it comes to deck building,

(And yeah, lay off that chat-type of language, use it for MSN and cell phone talk, but not here)

Yes regionals are in evrey state


and yep if the card is reprinted you can use old ones
 
ok thank u guys were do i get lunarock and how do u make a deck out of it show me the world champ deck and ill see if its good enought for my style but thank u guys alot u guys r helping alot
 
well i doubt that you'll actually be able to get the deck. unless they decide to make it into a World Champiohship Deck that they sell for about $9.99 at stores. But I doubt they will since it's pretty cheap (25 bucks or so).

I'm sure someone will post a list, i'm just too lazy to. + i'm not sure about a good list for DX-on. we lost admins :(
 
sorry i just don't know a good list. but i'm POSITIVE that someone will. so if anybody knows a decent lunarock list for DX-on (since apparently i'm a n00b and don't) then POST IT.

I don't really know. . . whatever i have cards for. why?
 
yeah they do need a returning [layer forum ask if they can make one ? and ok i will read that .

can u guys tell me how i can make a mewtrics deck ?
 
There is no "will you make me a deck forum" and no one will awnser "will you give me a deck list / make me a deck" question.

If you really need help on a decklist make a version as best as you can and put it in the deck help and strategy area then you will get tips and such and will be able to make a better deck
