Could you explain a "4 corners " deck and probably give an example? if you dont want to give any explanations before the round ends, can you write your explanation after the grading is finished? as a spectator i am really curious about the 4 corners and hand control decks

What will the gradin criteria be?

Same as before?

How will use of card work?

Also could you define what you mean by metagame? At the br level metagames can vary greatly from state to state, weekend to weekend.

Four corners is essentially a deck which has effective direct counters to all the current meta choices and which will fair well, 50/50 or better, against the other random decks you would face in a tournament.

I think the traditional "Four Corners" deck is a deck that utilizes type advantage to counter the 4 most popular deck choices in the current metagame. It's also traditionally a Stage 1 deck, but that definition could be changed based on the current card pool.

The most well-known version of 4 Corners I believe involved Dark Slowking, UF Houndoom, and two other Stage 1 Pokemon that countered Weakness effectively.

This is what 4 corners is in my mind, but it can also be what Waynegg said too.

The grading criteria will be the same. Card use will depend on what you put in the deck. The more each card is utilized the better.

The meta is essentially what are the big decks around, the tier 1, 2's, 3's. But do not forget about the dark horse that is known as Rogue.

2)The metagame is todays current metagame.

Before I submit my list, a quick question concerning this. Is this today's current meta as in what's performing well in real life tournaments (What Won Battle Roads in other words) or the meta as in left over from the last stage of Swiss in the Iron Chef challenge?

I'm afraid I'm going to have to drop. I've been sick lately and school work is beginning to pile up so I need to prioritize.

:frown:...
Sorry to hear that. I was looking forward to seeing what you would've come up with.
Good that you're making the right choice though, and hope you feel better and get caught up.

Yeah sorry man. I was looking forward to it too but when I realized it was already Wednesday tomorrow, I knew I had to drop and go do some homework.

Mine's pretty much done. I'm just waiting for the What Won BRs thread to update a little bit more before submitting. I might TecH differently if that gets updated in a certain way...

Mine is basically done, I'm just trying to figure out what stops us from simply playing an existing metagame deck.....
