Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Is there a pokemon banlist?

Dragons didnt ruin the format.... I'm pretty sure Magnezone is still kicking the crap out of everything right now as it has been since teaming up with Yanmega. And YuGiOh has to ban cards because it is a terrible card game.

Vileplume is an average to good card. It has many problems of its own.... I dont know why youre trying to argue to get that card, of all cards, banned.

You seemed to misread the post then. I was saying that Vileplume has no place in the BW block. Reread it again.

What relevance does Vileplume's effect have on a BW meta? You also referred to the fact that no more cards will reference Powers or Bodies - well yeah, but if a new trainer locking pokemon comes out, it won't be a power or body! It'll be an Ability! DERR!

And Junk Arm is GONE after next rotation, so what relevance is there to talking about JArm in a BW meta?

I mean that's like complaining about how overpowered NG Slowking is in a trainer-heavy BW Meta. Um... duh? But it's totally irrelevant because it isn't IN said meta, and WON'T be!

Catcher and Junk Arm are overpowered and everyone will agree with that. Vileplume is overpowered because its a bench sitter with an effect that turns off a game mechanic.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I was talking about this current format and Vileplume. Like you said, if there were to print another trainer locking ability and made a counter for it, it would say something along the lines of so and so can't use abilities. Vileplume will always be the better option because cards will no longer target poke powers and poke bodies. it's why I said vileplume has no place in the BW block.

We also know Slowking does not matter in this format. I was not making an argument about slowking.

In fact, Vileplume is sooooo overpowered that it only appeared in 22% of Cities winning decks in masters. (47 out of 213)

Also, I agree that Vileplume has no place in the BW block. This is because it's in the HS block.

Does Vileplume have a place in the current format? Yes, definitely.

Vileplume is overpowered because its a bench sitter with an effect that turns off a game mechanic.

1. Stage 2
2. Locks you out of trainers as well

It's obviously not broken. Now, if there was a bench sitter basic that didn't shut you off from trainers and did it to your opponent, THEN i'd agree with you.

This.

I'm surprised you think Vileplume is overpowered. Have you looked at what they're bringing in with Next Destinies?

Basic Pokemon
With High HP values
With high-damaging, moderate-cost attacks
With their own set of stadiums, energies and trainers

Just curious if you played in the SP era, cause I'm having flashbacks.
