Druddigon - Colorless - 100 HP
Basic Pokemon

[C][C] Crunch: 20 damage. Flip a coin, if heads, discard an Energy from the Defending Pokemon.
[C][C][C] Dragon Claw: 70 damage.

Weakness: none
Resistance: none
Retreat: 3

Why cant we get good cards like this for our Promos?

Or I could use a 100 HP colorless basic that hits 80 for DCE and something else that can be attached in the same turn as DCE (without galactic switch). Oh, that 100 HP colorless basic also can be easily removed from the field, too.

The only advantage this has over Dragonite FB, is that it has no weakness. Even then I would take the improved speed and SP support.

Yeabut Dragonite SP is all but usless against non SP's At least this can do damage to anything.

Have to agree with Kayle here. I saw this card too on 'Beach and immediately thought of a Chomp C X counter.. However he is way too slow and his retreat cost is abysmal! I love the no weakness thing... That part is amazing.. Still, Draggy takes the cake.

Doesn't Dragonite FB have lightning weakness anyway? This thing is better i think, as long as you use more warp point

1) This is a brand new card, we may very well get it when we have Black and White released.

2) Japan releases a lot more promos than us. A huge amount more. Probably somewhere in the reason of 4 or 5 times more. Now, you've chosen to select this one particular card to suggest that we never get good promo cards, but that is just nowhere near true.

Because of the amount of Japanese promos released, for every one "good card" you are going to have about 5-10 that would never see play even in a fun deck, but of course, everyone making the "OMG, P!P is hiding all the good cards so my 1337 rogue deck cant just autowin everything!!!!!!1!" argument, chooses to forget this.

3) We do get some good promos. Toxicroak G Promo became the most popular Luxray counter for a while, with it's ability to revenge kill it. And I haven't seen it much round here but apparently the Regigigas DP promo is a must have for all Regigigas decks.

4) This may be the most important one. P!P have no way of knowing which cards are going to be game changing before they release them. They can make judgements based on popular cards in Japanese decks, but they have different formats, and wildly different metagames to us. What do you want P!P to do? Build up tons of decks and test out all promos as techs then decide what to release based on that? That would be impractical, take forever, and probably be pretty inaccurate anyway.

There. 4 pretty solid counter arguments
