Pokebeach as now just revealed 14 of the cards from Japan exclusive Ex Battle Boost Set. When they first revealed the information about the set, I lol'd hard as they finally got a reprint set and we didn't but now that they've revealed some of the cards, I bashing myself stupid wishing we could of got the Ex Battle Boost Set. What does anyone else think about these cards and the set.

The artwork concept on the Tepig and Pignite cards is really cool. I can't shake this morbid thought that the parents may be gone in the Emboar though. The Terrakion and Garchomp are pretty cool too.
I'm really curious about the non-reprints in this set. CoL gave us Pachirisu; it makes me wonder if this set will include any cards that will change the metagame in a significant way too. I guess only time will tell.

The artwork is REALLY fantastic here. I hope this is a sign of things to come in X&Y. I was, honestly, mostly disappointed with the art of the B&W block (get out of here, 5ban Graphics, I don't like your stuff. . . ), so here's hoping this is an indicator of things changing going forward.

5ban Graphics won't be going anywhere, it's just the name of Creatures' own in-house art team.
I do like the artwork, but something tells me we won't get them if this is a reprint set meant to sync our sets with Japan's 
Terrakion's artwork seems little off. I can't put my finger on it but it's just different... but I still like it just because his expression looks so maniacal, like he's about to go on a Darkrai killing spree.

I chalk it up to its mouth being wide open.
Maybe early BW, but they haven't been doing nearly as much since NXD with the exclusion of Plasma Pokemon (which I think works since it gives them a consistent feel), and plus most of the FAs have remained pretty impressive IMO.

Yes. The artwork on the card is a reference to its original PokeDex entries from Diamond and Pearl.

Yeah, I mention to include the Plasma Pokemon in with those other groups. Plasma Freeze is possibly my least favorite BW set because I collect mostly for artwork and it feels like almost every rare is CGI i.e. 5ban. It made for a really dull set for me. Maybe I would have liked the idea of one artist doing all of the Plasma Pokemon if it weren't the one entity who was already kind of overused this Generation. >_>

We don't want too many new cards in this set, or at least I don't: still hoping they merge the few new cards with our Plasma Blast set so we can synch up releases with X&Y!
