Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Japan's new VGC world qualifiers announced.

Lol, it will be interesting to see all the new game types...

Lots of changes to old teams instead of the same ludicolo, kyogre, vaporeon, toxicroak stuff we've been seeing.

I personally love this rule. It will make use of some pokemon that would not be normally used compared to last year when everybody used TopOgre.

I agree. I kept seeing the same old Groudon with an Iron Ball/Ludicolo/Abomasnow/Kyogre combos, it never changed. I'd love to play this year, given the chance, especially since most everything will be untested to an extent, and anyone can break out with some overlooked strategy/combo.

(off topic) but why doesn't the pokemon vgc have a masters division i'm just asking

Just they way the split it up to reflect Japan; I don't think they've had 3 divisions for the videogame since those old mall tours actually. Seniors is basically the Masters equivalent, since the normal TCG senior age division is split, so that Juniors has all the 12 and under, and Seniors has all the 13 and older crowd.

^Having only two age divisions works best IMO- as it makes it easier to have the event flow more smooth, and it keeps the competition more balanced as far as the age groups go.
for 12 and under, the age spread has different levels of skill, while 13+ also offers roughly the same different levels of skill.

IMO- skill levels are like this:

noob
intermediate
skilled
seasoned
master
ninja

but I think the vgc having the two brackets works, and the rules are fair. For all levels of competiters.

That would be so cool if, for winning a tournament, they gave you a shirt that said "ninja"

^lol- I guess I should order up some shirts to be made that say "You just got Ninja'd at the VGC"!
I think a solid coal colored shirt with black writting in front that says the phrase that is outlined to match a silloett/shadow of Dragonite's body.

it is possable to become a "seasoned ninja master"- but we got to wait until B&W have been out for a while..........

NINJA!

lol, then all the PokeGymers with the Ninja shirts will come in and sweep the competition and noone will know what happened.

If I actually do end up going to VGC (which I might not due to lack of interest) I'll wear a ninja shirt.

Lol, if you actually made some of those you could make some moneyz ultim XD I'd definitely buy one!

If it were to happen, it would not be for money - it would be for the great users of the site. I will bring this up to the rest of the site staff.

It would be very awesome to see these shirts pop-up at events.

Ulti: once again you have proven to be of good sport and also in favor of some cool ideas.

You have my support in creating/design for a Tshirt, and I so would most definitly sport wearing one at any Pokegym/Nintendo/TPCi event.

Like'n the photoshopped t's above!

NINJA!

Heck- maybe this could be an inside Pokegym member thing- the VG"N"C- (video game NINJA championship)
Ohhh- another little t shirt idea- get the VG"N"C as a print on a shirt...... with a Ninjask or a Shedinja on the lower section.....

So many Ninja moves, with so many possable ninja's!

that is so awesome.
i wish it was real:frown:.
Just because of this, agirudaa will have a spot in my team.

It is the fastest pokemon available for 2011. It is also based off a ninja, so that is why i thought of it when the word "Ninja" was brought up.

Bug buzz is it's best STAB attack. It is fast, but that is about it. That and it cannot get trick-scarfed from sticky hold.
