It has Thundurus in it.
I don't think it's fair to call it "Japan's secret deck" in the same sense that Team Magma was Japan's secret deck in '04. Didn't only one person play it? Either way, it's just a specialized version of Troll. There's no real synergy, it's just a bunch of good cards. Anyone care to prove me wrong?

Actually saw someone play this at Nats. He went 7-2 in Seniors IIRC. It's a good concept, but has a few holes.

Seems like it would get steamrolled by Darkrai variants, and do poorly against CMT and Zek/Eels.

Mewtwo/Tornadus isn't anything new. Even playing it with Shaymin UL isn't anything new. Jirachi was played during the season.
It's just YUGIOH mentality, or perhaps SP mentality; take the cards that do well at events and stick them together.
I'm sure plenty of players thought about this idea, but plenty of players that just copy the 'popular deck' didn't.
