Junk Hunt and old trainers

Sableye (Dark Explorers) has an attack called junk hunt which states:
"Put two item cards from your discard pile into your hand."
Would this, in an unlimited format (like at a local league), allow me to use junk hunt to retrieve old style trainers (such as base set energy removal or professor oak) and put them in my hand?

Yes, anything that is not a Supporter or a Stadium (or a Pokemon or Energy card either, of course).
