Just got my shadowless charizard graded by PSA - Disappointing MINT 9

Really disappointed in the grade since I pulled it on my own from a shadowless pack a few months back. The corners and edges are maybe the best I have seen....unfortunately I feel the centering is maybe what threw the grade off from a 10 to a 9 It is a shame because the edges and corners are GEM on both sides!....now my question is:

1. What do you guys think of the centering? Is it bad enough for it to never get a 10?

2. Would you try cracking the case and resubbing?

3. If answered yes to #2, would you consider sending to BGS or doing a BGS Raw ard review before resubbing to PSA? (In hopes of a BGS 9.5 as it may be more attainable than a PSA 10?)

Anyways, cracking the case may damage the card, so don't do that. Just because a card is pack fresh, doesn't mean it's a guaranteed PSA 10 - that's what makes PSA 10 cards so unique and valuable. A PSA 9 is still a very good grade though!
However, you can submit an appeal to PSA if you truly believe they made an error, and they should regrade it for you.

Just handling a card with your uncovered hands will have an effect on it's grading. If you handled the card with your bare Hands that could account for the grading, regardless if you could see it or nor there was probably oil left on the card from your fingerprints or very faint handling marks. A 9 is a very worthy grade I would not open the case nor would I resubmit the card for another grading, It could get damaged in the process making it not worth any grade
